WHO WE ARE

We are an ambitious, hard-working team at NAIC that is comprised of talented and
tenured professionals who possess unmatched institutional knowledge. We help
states provide a safe, secure and competitive insurance marketplace. We are
passionate about serving our members and are committed to supporting your
regulatory needs.


WHAT WE DO

State Based Systems (SBS) is an electronic system built by the NAIC and designed
and enhanced in partnership with regulators that automates state-based insurance
regulation operations. Since 2002, we continuously look for ways to make
regulator interactions with each other, industry partners and insurance
consumers fast and effective.



WHO WE SUPPORT

SBS is the system of choice for more than 50% of NAIC members, with even more on
the horizon to implementation. More than 2,000 regulators use SBS every day to
access a database of one million unique producers, 10,000 education providers,
and more than 9,000 companies.
