OUR ACTIVITIES


TRANSFORMATIVE DIGITAL CITIZENSHIP WORKSHOP

We organized an in-person workshop in Ampara & Batticaloa, Sri Lanka that
covered the role of social media in democracy and the legal framework of social
media usage in Sri Lanka.

The workshop included an interactive activity focused on fact-checking and
identifying misinformation, as well as a group discussion on digital security
threats and strategies. It aims to educate about the role of social media in
shaping democratic discourse and foster a space for dialogue and exchange of
ideas.

DIGITAL SKILLS TRAINING

In an era where digital technology is rapidly advancing, we aim to bridge the
digital divide by creating accessible learning spaces for all, but also we
actively promote responsible digital citizenship, emphasizing accountability for
online behavior.

Our commitment extends to providing sustainable video lessons and virtual
hangouts for digital literacy, media literacy, and computer literacy that can be
accessed anytime and anywhere, with a special focus on marginalized communities.
This approach empowers migrant workers, ethnic minorities, women, and youth to
develop essential digital skills, ensuring they can fully participate in and
benefit from the digital age.
