In the event of severe weather, here’s some useful information that may help
keep you and your family safe:

 * The priority is to keep yourself, your family and pets safe and calm
 * Secure your property, locking doors and closing shutters on windows
 * Don't forget to secure any outdoor property, such as sheds or garden
   furniture
 * Keep your vehicles under secure cover and away from any overhanging trees
 * Stay up to date with the progress of the event via local news and radio
 * If it’s safe to do so, keep your neighbours informed and lend a hand if they
   need help
   
   

HAVE YOU GOT A STORM KIT?

If you live in an area prone to weather events, it might be a good idea to have
a kit on hand so you can grab it in the event of a weather warning. This could
include:

 * Torches with spare batteries
 * Radio
 * Candles and matches
 * Simple first aid kit
 * Useful or important emergency contacts

The Alert Service is powered by The Weather Company Pty Ltd and may alert you to
severe weather conditions that may occur in your registered location. Woolworths
