MEMBERS

 * Why would I become a member of Birthday Alarm?
   
   Because Birthday Alarm members get free reminders of their friends' and
   family's birthdays. You will never forget a birthday again! For 20+ years,
   over 50,000,000 users have counted on Birthday Alarm to be their birthday
   reminder service. We love to help people celebrate! We offer top-notch
   security practices protect your private information, encryption methods and
   security protocols to protect customer information, an ad free web experience
   in order to see more of the content that really matters to you and a
   dedicated customer support team to help with your questions!

 * How do I become a member of Birthday Alarm?
   
   Click on the 'Become a Member' link at the top of the page, enter your
   information and your account will be instantly created.

 * When will I be emailed?
   
   We only use your email address to send you your reminders and occasional
   information directly related to your use of the Birthday Alarm service.

 * Is Birthday Alarm Free?
   
   Yes, you can sign up for free and set an unlimited number of birthday
   reminders. These reminders are, and always will be, free. Some of our
   greeting cards are also free, though we charge a small fee for a yearly
   subscription to send our premium greeting cards.

PREMIUM MEMBERSHIP

 * What is Premium Membership?
   
   Premium Membership allows you to send any of our premium greeting cards.

 * Can I downgrade from Premium to Regular Membership?
   
   Yes, you can do this yourself on the Payment Page or Contact Us for help. You
   can also call us toll-free at 1 (800) 830-7745 so that your upcoming renewal
   is not processed. Your Premium Membership will then expire, but you will be
   able to keep the free services. This includes all of your reminders and a few
   cards that are labeled as ‘Free’. However you will no longer be able to send
   any of our premium greeting cards.

 * Why do I have to pay to send greeting cards?
   
   We have over 4000 high quality animated greeting cards. Your fees help keep
   the quality high and our starving artists just a little less starving.

 * What is your refund policy for premium membership?
   
   If you were wrongly charged, you may obtain a refund 60 days after the
   charge. The 60 days is in addition to the 30 days that you are entitled to as
   part of the free trial offer. If you have used the service to send premium
   cards after you were charged, you will not be entitled to a refund. Only
   subscription charges will be refunded. Members who obtained their
   membership(s) through promotional offerings are not entitled to a refund. Any
   card that was sent without a subscription will not be refunded. Upon
   termination, you will receive a full refund of any monies you paid to
   Birthday Alarm for your premium membership for the then current term.
   
   Free trials can be cancelled during the trial period by visiting
   https://birthdayalarm.com/account. On that page you will find a link at the
   bottom that reads: "You can close your account anytime".

MOBILE DEVICES

 * Does Birthday Alarm work on iPhones?
   
   Yes, Birthday Alarm is now fully compatible with all Mobile devices. Our
   greeting cards will play correctly on iPhones.

 * Does Birthday Alarm work on iPads?
   
   Yes, Birthday Alarm is now fully compatible with all Tablet devices. Our
   greeting cards will play correctly on iPads.

 * Does Birthday Alarm work on Android phones?
   
   Yes, Birthday Alarm is now fully compatible with most newer Android devices.
   Our greeting cards will play correctly on most Android devices.

BIRTHDAY ALARM IPHONE APP

 * Does Birthday Alarm have an App?
   
   Yes, Birthday Alarm now has an App that is free to download from the App
   Store.

 * Will my existing account work on the app?
   
   Yes, you can use the same details to login to both the app and the website.

 * Will my reminders be visible both on the app and the website?
   
   Yes, your reminders will be synced between the app and the website.

 * Do you have an Android or Windows App?
   
   No, at the moment we do not have an Android or Windows App. However, we might
   revisit these options in the near future.

FLASH

 * What is Flash?
   
   Flash is multimedia software that allows cartoon animations, such as the
   animations in our greeting cards, to be available over the internet. It is a
   free program that is available for both PCs and Macs, as well as other
   computer systems such as Linux. Flash is developed and distributed by Adobe,
   one of the largest and most respected software companies in the world.

 * Is Flash Required?
   
   Flash is no longer required on Birthday Alarm. All our greetings are also
   Mobile-compatible and available as video files.

EXISTING MEMBERS

 * How do I change my email address?
   
   You can change your email address by doing the following:
   
    1. Go to BirthdayAlarm.com and sign in, or click here
    2. Click the 'My Account' tab.
    3. Find the 'Email Settings' option on the left side of the page and click
       on it.
    4. Enter your desired email address details in the box and click the 'ADD'
       button.
   
   You can also delete any of your currently registered emails by pressing the
   'X' next to it.
   
   We recommend entering all your email addresses, this enables you to sign in
   and operate your account using any address. You can also opt to have
   reminders sent to more than one address.

 * How do I change my registered name or birthday?
    1. Go to BirthdayAlarm.com and sign in, or click here
    2. Click the 'My Account' tab.
    3. Change the details of your choice.
    4. Click the 'SAVE CHANGES' button.

 * I have lost my password. What can I do?
   
   Simply click here enter your email address, and we will send your password to
   you. If you are generally having problems remembering your password then you
   may wish to change your password to one you find easier to remember. Once
   signed in you can change your password at any time by clicking on the 'My
   Account' tab, followed by the 'Password' option.

 * How do I cancel my Birthday Alarm membership?
   
   You can cancel your membership at any time:
   
    1. Go to BirthdayAlarm.com and sign in, or click here
    2. Click the 'My Account' tab.
    3. Click the link at the bottom that reads: "You can close your account
       anytime".
    4. You must then click the YES button to actually cancel your membership.
   
   If you are unable to sign-in to cancel your membership then please Contact Us
   and we will be happy to help you.

GREETING CARDS

 * How do I send a greeting card?
    1. If not already - click here to sign in, enter your email address and
       password.
    2. Click the 'Send a Greeting Card' tab.
    3. Click on a card you like. If you don't like the first card then just
       click CHOOSE ANOTHER CARD. You can, to see a wider selection of cards,
       click on the 'More' link for the category of card you are interested in.
    4. When you find a card you like click the PERSONALIZE THIS CARD button.
    5. Then enter the details asked for such as the recipient's name and email
       address.
    6. To see what your card will look like to your friend click the PREVIEW
       button. When you are happy with your card click the SEND button to send
       the card to your friend.

 * How do I view/change/delete a greeting I have sent or scheduled to be sent?
    1. If not already - click here to sign in, enter your email address and
       password.
    2. Click on the 'My Cards' option.
    3. This will list cards you have already written. If the card is not yet
       sent, you can amend it by clicking the green pencil icon. Click on the
       red 'X' icon to cancel/delete a card.

REMINDERS

 * How do I add birthday reminders to my reminder list?
   
   To get email reminders from Birthday Alarm of your friends' birthdays:
   
    1. If not already - click here to sign in, enter your email address and
       password.
    2. Click the 'My reminders' tab.
    3. Click the 'Add Birthday Reminders' option.
    4. You will then see some special wording for you to copy and paste into an
       email you send to your friends. The wording includes a link which your
       friends click on when they receive the email from you. This link shows
       them a page where they can enter their birthday details directly into
       your account with Birthday Alarm.

 * Can I set birthday reminders without emailing my friends?
   
   To get birthday reminders for those people whose birthday you already know,
   please do the following:
   
    1. Use the Add Birthday Reminders form - click here.
   
   From here you can add as many people's birthdays as you like.

 * How do I change an existing birthday reminder?
   
   You can change or delete a birthday reminder by following these instructions:
   
    1. If not already - click here to sign in, enter your email address and
       password.
    2. Click on the 'My Reminders' tab.
    3. To change a reminder, click on the person's name. To delete a reminder,
       click on the red 'X' icon.

 * Can I choose how far in advance to be reminded of birthdays?
   
   Yes. The default is two reminders, the first 7 days before and the second 3
   days before. To change this to whatever suits you best:
   
    1. If not already - click here to sign in, enter your email address and
       password.
    2. Click on the 'My Account' tab.
    3. Click on the 'Email Settings' tab.
    4. Change your reminder timing. You can choose to get your reminder(s)
       anything from on the day to 14 days in advance. Click the SAVE button to
       save your changes.

 * Why am I not receiving my reminders?
   
   If you have any junk mail filters set on your email you should include
   service@BirthdayAlarm.com as a 'safe' address. Also - as you may know, in
   very rare circumstances the internet or your ISP can 'lose' an email. There
   is also a possibility you may have registered the wrong email address with us
   so Birthday Alarm is sending you reminders to the wrong email address.

 * Can I get reminders for events other than Birthdays?
   
   Yes, here is how:
   
   HOLIDAYS
   
    1. If not already - click here to sign in, enter your email address and
       password.
    2. Go to 'My Reminders' tab.
    3. Go to 'Holiday Reminders' tab.
    4. Click the square tick box for each holiday you want a reminder of and
       then click the SAVE button when complete.
   
   ANNIVERSARIES - FRIENDS
   
    1. If not already - click here to sign in, enter your email address and
       password.
    2. Go to 'My Reminders' tab.
    3. On 'Reminder' page, click on the person's name whose anniversary you want
       to enter.
    4. Enter their anniversary date and click the SAVE button.
   
   You will have noticed that you must first have a birthday reminder set for
   the person, before you can enter their anniversary.
   
   ANNIVERSARY - YOUR OWN
   
    1. If not already - click here to sign in, enter your email address and
       password.
    2. Go to 'My Account' tab.
    3. Enter your anniversary (and other options) and click the SAVE button.

 * How do I change the gender for a person on my reminder list?
   
   You can edit your reminders by doing the following:
   
    1. Go to BirthdayAlarm.com and sign in, or click here
    2. Click on the 'My Reminders' tab.
    3. Scroll down until you locate the person’s name.
    4. Click the 'Pencil' icon next to the person's name.
    5. Make the changes you wish.
    6. Press 'SAVE' when finished.

 * The person who I received a reminder for is deceased, how do I stop receiving
   the reminder?
   
   You can delete reminders you no longer wish to receive by doing the
   following:
   
    1. Go to BirthdayAlarm.com and sign in, or click here
    2. Click on the 'My Reminders' tab.
    3. Locate the reminder you wish to delete.
    4. Click on the 'X' icon to remove this reminder from your list. (The word
       'UNDO' will appear. This option is there so that you can recover a
       reminder that you accidentally deleted. The next time you sign-in the
       reminder will no longer be listed.)

 * Holidays
   
   You can add holidays for a specific country or religion by following these
   instructions:
   
    1. Go to BirthdayAlarm.com and sign in, or click here
    2. Once signed in, click the 'My Reminders' tab.
    3. Click on 'Add More Reminders'
    4. Choose the 'Holidays' option from the list.
    5. Choose either a Country -OR- Religion and click the OK button.
    6. A list of holidays or religious events will be displayed. Check the box
       of any you would like to add to your calendar and receive email reminders
       about.
    7. Click the 'SAVE' button.
   
   To remove a holiday reminder:
   
    1. Go to BirthdayAlarm.com and sign in, or click here
    2. Once signed in, click the 'My Reminders' tab.
    3. You will see all your reminders listed. Click the 'X' next to the
       reminder you wish to remove.
    4. Click OK to confirm your selection.

 * Anniversary - Your Own
    1. Go to BirthdayAlarm.com and sign in, or click here
    2. Click on the 'My Account' page.
    3. Enter your anniversary (and other options).
    4. Click the 'Save' button

ADBLOCK

 * How to disable an Adblock extension or add-on:
    1. Open your internet browser of choice.
    2. Find your browser's 'Add-On' or 'Extension' section
       
       For Safari: Click on 'Edit' → 'Preferences' → 'Extensions'
       
       For Chrome: Click the three gray bars in the top-right corner, then
       'Tools' → 'Extensions'
       
       For Opera: Click on 'Tools' → 'Extensions'
       
       For Firefox: Click on 'Tools' → 'Add-Ons'
       
       For Internet Explorer: Click on 'Tools' (may be a small gear icon) →
       'Manage Add-Ons.'
    3. Find AdBlock on the list of extensions or add-ons.
    4. Disable AdBlock across your entire browser by clicking the 'Disable' or
       'On/Off' button. If you wish, you should be able to only disable it for
       certain websites such as BirthdayAlarm.
    5. Click Restart now if prompted.
