IT’S GROUP DINNER SEASON

Nikita RichardsonEating across New York City

I’m an editor on the Food desk, and I write the Where to Eat: New York City
newsletter. It’s finally getting warm enough for outdoor dining. (Who doesn’t
love a warm spring night?)

Here are a few recommendations for where to enjoy these sunnier days →

Noah Fecks
Big Groups in Bushwick

In a largely industrial corner of Bushwick, Brooklyn, the original location of
the restaurant Roberta’s features a large backyard with two tented dining areas
and a bar.

Large groups can order a couple of rounds of pizza, salads and dessert from a
nearby takeout window and eat alfresco.

Roberta's
A Little Basque on Ninth Avenue

Recently named one of New York City’s best restaurants by The Times’s restaurant
critic Pete Wells, the Chelsea restaurant Txikito specializes in Basque cuisine.

The restaurant has a few outdoor tables and large windows that let fresh air
flow into the dining room, so you can catch a breeze over your bomba rice and
octopus carpaccio.

Nico Schinco for The New York Times
Bistro Dining in NoHo

Andrew Carmellini’s French-leaning restaurant Lafayette (first slide) has a
large dining room with equally large booths that are great for brunch or dinner
with a group.

A patio that screams “Paris” wraps around the restaurant, making it a perfect
place for people-watching. A tip: Your best bet is to book a reservation on the
restaurant’s website.
