I suspect Rincewind and (book) Crowley would actually get on very well. Two
peevish little guys refusing to be doomed by the narrative, despite the
narrative's best efforts.

Eternally unsurprised that things are going really wrong over their heads
because that's just what things do. So they nod tiredly, get on with what needs
getting on with, then hit the bottle.
