Here's some of the more recent reported decisions. 1. 2811035 Ontario Inc. v Windsor (City) 2023 CanLII 50975 (ON LT) Motion to dismiss Ontario Land Tribunal Appeal without a hearing. Original Appeal is for a Zoning By-Law Amendment to allow multiple dwellings as an additional permitted use. 2. Buttice v Windsor (City) 2023 CanLII 76841 (ON LT) Appeal pursuant to s. 34 (19) of the Planning Act against the City of Windsor’s decision to approve the Zoning By-law Amendment application to the City of Windsor Zoning By-law 8600. 3. Fowler v. Family and Children’s Services of the Waterloo Region 2024 ONCA 41 Appeal asserting that the motion judge misapplied Syl Apps precedent by precluding foster parents, whom the Appellants describe as “trusted agents of Family and Children Services,” from bringing actions in negligence and breach of fiduciary duty against the CAS. RAYMOND COLAUTTI SENIOR PARTNER Ray is one of only five lawyers in Windsor certified by the law society as a specialist in civil litigation. He has over forty years of litigation experience. He's appeared before all levels of Court and Administrative Tribunals, including the Supreme Court of Canada and the Federal Security Intelligence Review Committee. ANITA LANDRY MANAGING PARTNER Anita is one of only five lawyers in Windsor certified by the law society as a specialist in civil litigation. Her practice focuses on commercial disputes, fraud, trust and estate claims, and Appeals.
