OUR STORY

It was mere happenstance that brought Davis and Marie together in the fall of
2018. On a Friday afternoon during his lunch break, Davis needed to go pick up a
check from Marie’s boss, Dennis. On this particular October day, Marie just so
happened to be the employee tasked with greeting Davis at the office door,
getting the check from the reception desk, and sending the tall, goofy 26 year
old on his way.... After he walked out, Marie looked at Dennis and said “who was
THAT” and he replied “the guy I’ve been trying to set you up with for months!”
Marie rolled her eyes, always resistant to a blind date or setup.

For the rest of the day all Davis could think about was the feeling of his heart
skipping a beat when he had first laid eyes on Marie. Davis needed to know more
about this beautiful girl he had randomly crossed paths with in that brief
encounter. This feeling carried over to the night when he met up with his sister
Leah and couldn’t stop talking about this girl he “met”. Going against all
instincts, Davis worked up the courage to blindly introduce himself to Marie and
start a conversation via Instagram DM (or direct message for the unaware). And
asked her out for drinks the following weekend.

After work on Friday November 2nd, 2018 Marie & Davis met as strangers at New
Realm Brewery just off the Beltline. From that moment forward, two strangers
began to blend their lives, friends and families in a beautiful way.

Nearly 3 years later, Davis got down on one knee on their favorite Sunday
walking route through Grant Park (with vanilla lattes from Grant Park Coffee in
hand, obviously). Marie said “yes” and the two have continued to build their
life together in
Chosewood Park with their dog-ters Molly and Francis.

Marie & Davis invite you to celebrate their love with them this December in
Grant Park.
