Running the show is mostly just exercising those brain muscles that were
starting to atrophy from not being used during the pandemic. I’d say about 80%
timecode, 20% manual cues. “We also had the ‘Kacey-oke’ moment that was selected
by an attendee every night, so it made sense to make those songs or cues manual.
There is a wealth of knowledge and experience to be gleaned from those two it
has been an absolute pleasure getting to know and work with such talented

flexibility to allow for Kacey to connect with the crowd.

Greta Van Fleet was my first time working with Rob and André as a team. During
the pandemic, I worked adjacent to André on some local one-offs, I was able to
get to know who he was and how he works prior to working with him in this
capacity. “I was immediately impressed with his design style and eye for detail.
She is talented and is always there for my venting episodes.”Įdwards first
worked with Sinclair on Greta Van Fleet’s The Strange Horizons Tour. Lighting
Director Danielle Edwards and I have a great working relationship. This was my
first time working with Simon in this capacity and I hope to do it again soon.

I spent a lot of my time cueing in all the video and screen content with our
video programmer Simon Roberts. Luckily it was a matter of taking songs out
instead of adding songs in. We started with a set list and over the rehearsal
period it got switched up quite a bit.

“That time slowly diminished as everyone had their own thoughts as to how the
songs should look. Petrus says at first they had just enough time to get a first
pass of the show. We wanted each song to have its own personality and we tried
to accentuate the music through the technology.” One of my personal challenges
is to light each song in a stylized format. If I turned lights on it was
generally for a specific reason. The most challenging part of this show was to
not over light the stage. I found myself pulling lights out as opposed to adding
them. This new record is fire,” enthuses Petrus. I’m also really grateful to
Leslie Cohea, Bobby Simmons and Jason Owen for trusting the English guy with
glasses.” “I’m so proud to know André Petrus, Danielle Edwards, Harry Boyde,
Simon Roberts, George Sinclair, Ian Kinnersley, Steve Price and all of our crews
from Christie Lites, ER Productions, SGPS ShowRig and Screenworks. Sinclair says
their success was entirely down to the fantastic team who all worked tirelessly
for weeks. “I always send us down a few blind alleys and there can be some
unexpected roadblocks. We tried to deliver a show that had big, Instagram-able
visual moments, but that never distracted from Kacey, her songs and her band.”
She was very involved at all stages but also a very gracious collaborator,
allowing the whole team to bring their own ideas.” Sinclair says every tour is
never easy as there can always be a few wrong turns. “Kacey has exquisite taste
and an amazing reference library on her phone-she can call up something really
beautiful in milliseconds. We then all worked together to tweak the idea and to
add detail,” he says. “It had the proscenium arch and the heart shaped stage,
although in very different configurations. Sinclair notes that Kacey Musgraves’
management were looking for ideas for her star-crossed: unveiled tour, so
Sinclair sent them something very rough, which seemed to connect.

was available only with an automatic transmission and a 185-horsepower,
2.3-liter four cylinder that had an anemic exhaust note. In less than 30
seconds, you can convert the SLK from a closed coupe to a cool convertible
without leaving the driver's seat. The SLK's big selling point is its exclusive
retractable steel roof that, when raised, makes the car seem as tight and
insulated as a Benz sedan.

   data as well. What i want is that once airtable has fetched all the records
   it should return a value 1 which will be assigned to a variable counter. I am
   trying to get my record from airtable using async await.

“Obviously things aren't going to be the same, but I think cabaret is a nice
transition to get people performing again, even if it won’t be in a full-scale
show.”

“I think that it’s really exciting and nice to acknowledge the shows that we had
been cast in and didn't get to perform in,” says Massey. Massey will be
performing “Matchmaker” from “Fiddler on the Roof” and “Remember Me” from
“Little Fish” at Second Act Cabaret. They will perform one number from their
canceled production, and also one or two other musical numbers related to the
personality or character type from that production. 15, Second Act Cabaret is
giving local students whose productions were disrupted “a second chance.”
Presented by the Midland Center for the Arts (MCFTA), the show will feature 10
high school students from across the Great Lakes Bay region. Students involved
in school productions ceased rehearsals, stage building, and costume-making at
the peak of the season, unaware that they would not be returning that semester.

the virus, students were sent home in March to continue school online
temporarily to help slow the spread of COVID-19. Midland High School senior Emma
Massey is part of the Oct. “I have been doing theater for so long and it's kind
of what I've built my life around and the thing that I love to do the most.” “It
was really disappointing for me,” says Massey. Emma Massey, a senior at Midland
High School, was involved in her school’s musical “Fiddler on the Roof” this
past spring before it was canceled.įor the 17-year-old senior, who plans to
pursue theater after graduating from high school and study musical theater with
the goal of becoming an actor, it was a tough blow.
