Forum 2025 - Coming soon Blockchain
Intelligence

INFORMATION IS THE INPUT, INTELLIGENCE IS THE OUTPUT

In other words, data need to be separated from noise and collated to create
information, from which intelligence directly responsive to a need can be
created.

BLOCKCHAIN INTELLIGENCE BRINGS TOGETHER BLOCKCHAIN ANALYTICS, DATA SHARING AND
ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

Decision makers in public and private organisations need intelligence to support
their decisions.

BLOCKCHAINTELLIGENCE FORUM BRINGS TOGETHER PROFESSIONALS WHOSE ACTIVITIES ARE
IMPACTED BY THE BLOCKCHAIN TECHNOLOGY

with a clear objective to establish a platform for dialogue, to facilitate
training and sharing expertise.

INFORMATION COSTS MONEY, INTELLIGENCE MAKES MONEY

It is essential to make a distinction between data (any raw single piece of
information), information (integrated data with a narrative, generic in nature)
and intelligence (both a process and a tailored answer to a given question –
decision support).

There are nearly 600
cryptocurrency exchanges worldwide involving more than 3.4 billion digital
wallet users.

BLOCKCHAIN INTELLIGENCE FORUM

WHAT DO WE DO?

We hold quarterly breakfast seminars, which are free for members. These provide
our members with the opportunity to hear topical presentations from high-level
expert speakers from blockchain intelligence companies, government, law
enforcement, lawyers and front-line practitioners, about issues of particular
concern to us all, and also to network with fellow blockchain intelligence
professionals.

We also planning to hold a well-attended annual conference, which should attract
over 200 delegates. We believe that because it should be a conference by
blockchain intelligence practitioners for blockchain intelligence practitioners,
ours becoming the must-attend event in the calendar.

Progress of

BLOCKCHAIN INTELLIGENCE

IT ALL STARTED IN 2009..

1. Blockchain Explorers

Blockchain Intelligence tools & products have been developed since the launch of
the Bitcoin blockchain. The first tools allowed to analyze blockchain data were
the “Block(chain) Explorers”, in order to organize and present raw blockchain
data, which helped retail investors look up their own crypto-assets
transactions.

2. Blockchain analytics tools

Blockchain analytics tools appeared later in 2015, combining raw blockchain data
with a proprietary database of known addresses to link on-chain activity to
real-world entities. These tools allow address classification, providing
investigation tools, monitoring transactions and risk analysis in a
“blacklist-based” model.

3. Blockchain Intelligence

Blockchain Intelligence goes beyond the traditional “blacklist-based” approach
of blockchain analytics, and dynamically identifies risks, opportunities and
threats. This is similar to the evolution of spam detection, anti-virus, and
fraud prevention, which evolved from ‘blacklist-based’ risk models, to dynamic
assessment models that are effective to support decision making.

WHO NEEDS BLOCHAIN INTELLIGENCE?

Blockchain Intelligence allows professionals from financial and banking
institutions, crypto-assets service providers and public agencies, to make
faster and smarter decisions, whether these concern compliance standards,
investments or crypto-related fraud and financial crime.

BANKS, PAYMENTS INSTITUTIONS AND OTHER FINANCIAL SERVICE PROVIDERS

require Blockchain Intelligence to identify their exposure to crypto-assets
risks or to support their own blockchain projects.

CRYPTO-ASSETS SERVICE PROVIDERS

require Blockchain Intelligence to combat fraud and to comply with AML/CFT and
sanctions regulations.

LAW ENFORCEMENT

require Blockchain Intelligence to detect, investigate and mitigate
crypto-related crime by screening wallets, tracing the source and destination of
suspicious transactions across blockchains.

REGULATORS, SUPERVISORS AND FINANCIAL INTELLIGENCE UNITS (FIUS)

require Blockchain Intelligence to identify and monitor crypto-assets risks,
enabling them to enforce AML/CFT and sanctions regulations.

BLOCKCHAINTELLIGENCE FORUM

brings together professionals whose activities are impacted by the blockchain
technology, with a clear objective to establish a platform for dialogue, to
facilitate training, sharing of expertise, good practice and to encourage new
partnerships. Data sharing and reporting of risk indicators in public and
private partnerships are essential to ensure suspicious activity is rapidly
highlighted across jurisdictions.
