Not calling anyone out, but I think streamers need to be more direct in
discouraging shoutout clips. And if you're doing them, strongly consider getting
rid of them. Too much risk in assuming permission to share a random clip that
may not fit your stream or the person you're calling attention to.

Through the power of the internet, I found the model names of two CRTs that were
in my bedroom as a kid: the Hitachi CT1342, and Teknika MJ-22, both from around
1985. I don't know what to do with this information, but for whatever reason
it's helping me through a rough time right now.

Threads is worse than Twitter in the sense that it's structured to hide climate
content, which is why I get a fraction of the engagement over there. The
decision to downgrade political content is itself a political one, and one that
overwhelmingly benefits bad actors.

When I can't sleep I think about messed up cartoons I watched growing up and now
can't remember if they were real or a fever dream. This time it's
"Sh-h-h-h-h-h", a 1955 Tex Avery cartoon (his last) about a doctor & nurse who

Sh-h-h-h-h-h (1955) - Another of my favorite Walter Lantz cartoons, this one
directed by Tex Avery. This was Tex's last theatrical cartoon. The soundtrack
used is from "The Okeh Laughing Record" from 1923 - a hilarious yet disturbing

Lots of folks worried that opening Bluesky would bring in too many Twitter users

Lot of streamers I watch have been taking donos for PCRF and I've been giving.
After questionable allegations and gutless overreactions around UNRWA, it may
all be for nothing. They simply want Palestine gone at all costs. I am sick to

It sounds corny, but I've heard similar from artists: after years of fumbling
and sketching and practicing, the first time you take something from your head
and put it to canvas, and it finally looks somewhat alive, looking back at you,
is really emotionally powerful.

Wasn't sure if I wanted to talk about it, but I've been in a fair amount of

If I used my tech job to steal money and ransom users, I shouldn't ever be given
another job in front of a computer. "Internet personalities" who leverage their

The couple weeks after holidays where coworkers are still on vacation should be
more relaxing. I've been conditioned by so many crappy managers and quiet

First attempt at cheek scruff looked too stringy. More bits + inflate sculpting
around the bases and tapering at the ends makes it look more like actual fluff
