ABOUT SAMARA WELFARE TRUST

Shri Shankaracharya, Shri Madhwacharya and Shri Ramanujacharya hav been
abbreviated, for the sake our new generation of patrouns and members as SAMARA.

SAMARA welfare trust is formed and is working towards converting the word SAMARA
( meaning Conflict/ War ) to SAMARASYA ( meaning harmony, peace and unity )
amongst various sub-sects within the Brahmin Community. To achieve this the
Trust has envisioned a few projects.

In the course of our discussion, interaction and mutual understanding with
patrons and well-wishers of SAMARA, we humbly wish to recall the messages of our
great visionaries Saints and Teachers who taught us different schools of thought
on Indian philosophy.

While conveying you the contents of the messages of Jagadguru Shankaracharya,
Anandatheertha Madhwacharya and Bhagawan Ramanujacharya, we earnestly desire to
build the future generation with a new outlook, blended with contemporary life
all over the world.

We will be precise on the contents of profile of Shankara, Madhwa and Ramanuja.

// ABOUT

SRI. SHANKARACHARYA

Adi Shankara of eight century was one of the greatest visionaries that India has
produced.

Shankara revived 'Sanatana Dharma' on the basis of Vedas and Upanishads. Sri
Shankaracharya also proved that "Advaita" ultimately is a practical thought.
This made people to get rid of cruelty, human sacrifice and exploitation which
were highly prevalent in those days. Adi Shankara touched all the corners of
India and established four spiritual centers to spread the message. His
interaction with down-trodden in Kasi gave the message that all are equal in the
society. Also he communicated the message "All are eligible to seek Knowledge.
Further any person can get Knowledge from others".

Shankara's contribution to the awakening on interpretation of Vedanta helped the
society to come out of darkness and seek spiritual grace for welfare of mankind.

// ABOUT

SRI MADHWACHARYA

Sri Madhwacharya established Dwaita Philosophy of Hari Sarvothamavatva - 'Hari
is greatest'.

Sri Anandatheertha, an additional prefex to Madhwacharya, defines that
'philosophy has determination of things as they are in themselves'. Experience
plays an important role. Nobody can shirk this spiritual responsibility which is
an important aspect of Sadhana. He undertook extensive tour of the country twice
to spread message of Vedas and Upanishads. He authored several important books
which even today are used for the spread the Dwaita message.

According to Anandatheetha Bhagavadpadacharya social service was an important
principle in one's life. He quotes in his writings as "Nana janasya shishrrushah
Karthavya" which clearly gives the message of social service. He initiated
fishermen on the banks of the Arabian Sea to Vishnu Deeksha. His works are
undoubtedly a great spiritual empowerment for the welfare of mankind.

// ABOUT

SRI. RAMANUJACHARYA

Sri Ramanujacharya built up the Vaishnava thought already in existence.

Ramanuja composed Sri Bhashya. His commentary on Vishnu Sahasranama is unique.
His Vedic definition of 'Brahman' is 'Sathya', 'Gyana' and 'Ananda'. He wanted
people will get rid of evil, ugliness and ignorance through Vishishtadwaita.
Service to the mankind will lead to 'Bliss of Brahman'. He initiated the people
from backward class to chant 'Naranayan Manthra'. Ramanuja led the spiritual
revolution. The Acharya stood on the rock of Melukote hills and declared that
"All human beings, born on this earth, are eligible for meditation, for seeking
knowledge and attain Moksha by surrendering before God."

Sri. Ramanujacharya stands as a major and spiritual reformer of this land.
