Privacy Notice for surveys

Privacy notice: how we use your personal data

We are the Environment Agency and we have an active working relationship with
you to help create a better place for people, wildlife and the environment. We
want to hear your views on what it’s like working with us. We are the data
controller for these relationships. A data controller determines how and why
personal data (personal information) is processed. Our personal information
charter
(https://www.gov.uk/government/organisations/environment-agency/about/personal-information-charter)
explains how we deal with your personal information. Go to GOV.UK and search
'Environment Agency personal information charter'.

The personal data we collect about you

• your email address
• questions, queries or feedback you leave, including your emails address if you
contact us

Your response to this survey will be anonymous. However, should you provide your
personal information in your response, you are giving us clear consent for us to
process your personal data for the purposes of this research and for Blue Marble
to contact you. We are allowed to process your personal data because you consent
to us doing so. You have the right to withdraw consent at any time by emailing
Blue Marble at enquiries@bluemarbleresearch.co.uk. The lawful basis for
processing your personal data is consent.

What we do with your personal data

If you provide your email address in your survey response, Blue Marble may use
this to contact you to ask for more information. We do not use your personal
data to make an automated decision or for automated profiling. We won’t share
your personal data with without your consent, unless we are required to do so by
law.

How long we keep your personal data

Any personal information you provide, your response and any correspondence with
Blue Marble in relation to this survey will be destroyed 3 months after the
research has finished. This will be no later than end of June 2023.

Where your personal data is processed and stored

The data for the quantitative survey will be processed and stored on a secure UK
based server.
