Bassel Alesh HELLO, WORLD! My name is Bassel Alesh. I graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering in 2017. I was previously an engineer at Apple for 3 years, working on 5G systems for most of my time there. I am currently building Spliti (Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy). LINKS AND CONTACT INFO RESEARCH At Illinois, I worked with Professor Jose Schutt-Aine and Professor Andreas Cangellaris on electromagnetic simulations and modeling for my senior thesis. Slides from my presentation at the ECE Undergraduate Research Symposium can be found here. UNDERGRADUATE PROJECTS ECE 483 - ANALOG IC DESIGN Schematic design of a Low Dropout Regulator using Cadence Virtuoso. Report found here. ECE 457 - MICROWAVE DEVICES AND CIRCUITS Schematic design using ADS and microstrip board design using Momentum: * Impedance Matching Network * Bandpass Coupled Line Filter * Rat-Race Coupler ECE 447 - ACTIVE MICROWAVE CIRCUIT DESIGN While ECE 457 dealt with passive microwave circuits, this course and its lab component covered active microwave circuits, specifically low noise and power amplifiers. An in-progress, brief summary of our amplifier design for the lab component of the course can be found here. ECE 385 - DIGITAL SYSTEMS LAB My partner, Patrick John Wang, and I created our own iteration of the iOS App, Banana Kong, in SystemVerilog for our final project. Video found here.
