If Justice League connects to The Flash but The Batman connects to neither, but
does connect to Joker… does that mean there are two different DC cinematic
universes? It gets confusing very, very quickly. This would make The Joker at
least 65 if they were to face off against each other, making him approximately
twice Batman’s age. The Batman looks to take place in the 2000s at the very
earliest, if the look of the Batmobile is any indication (as well as the
inclusion of a smartphone). The decor, the cars, the overall aura of the movies
all suggest this.

Perhaps they exist in different universes, but this has not been made clear and
the fact of the matter is DC simply does not have their universe in order the
way the competition at Marvel does.įurthermore, Joker takes place in 1981. The
fact that The Batman is coming into theaters while Ben Affleck’s version of
Batman is about to return in the upcoming The Flash film is confusing enough to
audiences. This fight would be anticlimactic due to differences in age and
physical prowess. While that does not make him ‘old’, this plays a factor
principally because the character cannot fight to save his life. Also, audiences
do not know exactly how old Batman is in The Batman, but Phoenix’s iteration of
The Joker is well into his 40s.

Meanwhile, Phoenix’s Joker is so skinny he is practically emaciated in Joker.
The Batman’s trailer shows Batman easily neutralizing threats, even when they
are armed with guns. The Joker is Older and Not Physically Fit.Īs previously
mentioned, Batman is meant to be the epitome of physical human performance. How
would this iteration of the Joker fight against the greatest melee tactician in
Gotham City? He simply would not. However, Phoenix’s Joker is easily kicked to
the ground by three smug civilians in white-collar clothing. The Joker is able
to offset Batman’s training with gags, unpredictability, and clever knife-work.
In comic book lore, Batman is proficient in several varieties of martial arts.
In The Batman’s trailer, The Dark Knight combines brute force with perfected
precision in combat. This allows for a game of chess in which Gotham City is
always the board and one player wants the game to continue forever. Whereas
Batman wants to lock the Joker away and have him psychiatrically examined as
penance for his crimes, The Joker wants to play cops-and-robbers with Batman
until the end of days. “Why would I want to kill you? I NEED you” quips The
Joker in 2008’s The Dark Knight. Their game of cat-and-mouse (or bat-and-clown)
is legendary. Since the 1940s, these two foes have battled each other with

mastermind who parries Batman’s penchant for preparedness by being wholly
unpredictable. The Clown Prince of Crime has variations to his backstory (or
lack thereof) depending on if one reads Batman comics or merely watches the
blockbuster films. He is the most famous supervillain in comic book history. He
vows on their graves to rid Gotham City of crime, and faces down criminals while
donning the visage of a bat.

Almost everyone knows his backstory: a boy whose billionaire parents are shot
dead in front of him. Batman is arguably the most well-known superhero of all
time.

DISCOVERY K12 PARENT NEVER GOT AN EMAIL

All I wanted to do was be able to check from my phone what assignments were
due/turned in for the day and what meetings and when from the app on my phone
instead of having to haul out the laptop while working with my youngest student
on her chromebook. As much as I like this program and the platform on the
computer you should not offer an app if it doesn’t work and doesn’t get
supported. To the developers: your Apple app is broken, needs fixing but I don’t
know any learning coach with more than one student who can sit here for 30+ mins
waiting to tell you all this. I repeat, this low review is of the app and it’s
support itself and not the program it is attached to. This app is pointless and
I would give it a zero star rating. I would love to be able to check what time
my older students need to get on meetings while working with my first grader on
her chromebook without lugging out my laptop each time but since it constantly
tells me I have no students enrolled contact support and then have to wait for
ever to get the stupid automatic messenger to send me to a person and then never
get a person after 30+ mins. This app doesn’t do anything when you have no
students show up. We are in mid December and all three of my students are still
not showing up on the app. K12 itself is an amazing program but only from the
computer. Please refer to K12’s Privacy Policy for more information regarding
K12’s collection and use of your information. Most K12 app features are
available for K12-powered online public schools and some K12-powered private
