Welding is for creating networks of public research and documentation built on
top of a decentralized knowledge graph protocol. It is inspired by Notion,
Are.na & Roam; but it is built on the Ethereum Virtual Machine (and deployed to
Polygon), allowing every Subgraph, Topic & Document to be backed by an NFT,
ensuring all content is free, censorship resistant and public forever (via
IPFS). After gas costs, Welding is entirely free to use.

A (somewhat boring) overview
Through a novel ERC721 contract design, NFTs can cross-reference each other by
merging “edges” into the graph. Researchers and writers can earn royalties as
their writing is referenced (and backlinked) by others, allowing all humans to
participate and be rewarded for contributing their thought, ideas, and knowledge
as they learn together, in the open.

NOT A DAO, NOT A HUSTLE; JUST A TOOL

Ethereum is cool, because it’s like a bunch of computers acting like one big
computer that have agree'd on how to run scripts together. That makes it ideal
for building a permanent, planetary scale hive mind of research and knowledge
(that doesn’t belong to anyone).
I don't know about you all, but I'm tired of scammers cheapening our clever
internet computer. I'm sick of (racist) Bored Apes. Discord sucks. I'm tired of
con artists jacking rugs in wagmi-fueled fugue states (although the React lib is
good).
So, this project is not a DAO, it will never be about ponsi-tokenomics, and it
will never make you degrade yourself in public to get access. It's an open
source project like any other. 🤩 PRs are welcome!
