NEW CCUS STUDY ANNOUNCED



 * LSU and the Louisiana Geological Survey have teamed up to develop a Louisiana
   site selection map of optimal carbon storage locations. This project is
   funded with $1 million allocated through HB1 passed earlier this year.
 * This project is funded with $1 million allocated through HB1 passed earlier
   this year. The research from this partnership will have a profound impact on
   the state's carbon capture, use, and storage (CCUS) capabilities as our
   industry invests in more clean energy practices.
 * This initiative was promoted by Senator Sharon Hewitt and other members of
   the state legislature.

LOGA RESPONDS TO BIDEN ADMINISTRATION'S REFUSAL TO INCLUDE LEASE SALES IN
FIVE-YEAR PLAN

BATON ROUGE, LA (May 23, 2022) - The Biden Administration has announced that
they will propose a new five-year offshore drilling plan before the expiration
of the current plan on June 30th. However, Interior Secretary Deb Haaland was
specific to indicate that the plan will not include new lease sales.
