Friends, we are  Open for walk in painters, no reservations required. Bring your
friends to Central Mississippi's favorite place to slow down and enjoy 'Arting'
it up together!

 We offer ready to paint ceramics, Canvas painting and Clay sculpting. 

Call to reserve a spot for Pottery wheel throwing, 

 Located in the city of Flowood, serving Hinds, Rankin, Madison counties and
beyond since 2007! We are a great place for date nights, play groups, family
time and taking a break to relax and spend quality time with your people. Enjoy
petting the 3 sweet studio Cats in residence. Just don't pick them up! They are
all health rescues some with hidden disabilities so they are most comfortable
walking the studio on their own.

We will host your birthday party or group event any day of the week.

HOW IT WORKS:






 1. Pick a ceramic, decide to paint canvas OR sculpt with clay
 2. Fat Cat Minions will bring all needed supplies to your table
 3. Create Happy!
    
    Canvas or ceramics painted with acrylics are ready to take home the same
    day. Ceramics painted with glazes for a fired finish will take around a week
    to be done. The current ready date is posted in the studio and will be on
    your receipt. Wet Clay items take a few weeks to dry before they are kiln
    fired and ready to paint.

PAINT YOUR OWN POTTERY

No appointment is needed to paint your own ceramics at our central Mississippi
studio, just walk in & paint. Our table seat up to 6 people total, please call
ahead to reserve our large table or book one of our event rooms. No separate
studio, paint or firing fees for our large selection of ready to paint pottery
bisque priced as marked.  Prices start at $1 for our fridge magnet sized
earthenware ceramics.  Many beautiful ornaments, mugs, plates and figurines for
$10, $15 & $20. See our Menu for more pricing information.
 

HOW IT WORKS
 You pick out a ceramic, we seat you at a table then you use our brushes, glazes
and tools to make your design come to life!  We put your name and the year on
the base of your artwork, dry it, apply a clear glaze, dry it again then and
fire it in our kilns to 1835f.      

This process takes up to a week. 

The ready date is posted on our wall and will also be on your receipt.

 You may paint your pottery with our acrylics instead and take it home the same
day.

DIY CANVAS PAINTING

$24.99 
Metro Jackson area, Walk in anytime and use one of our 200+  friendly Do It
Yourself Designs to paint a 12x12" or 16x20" canvas.  
No instructor required! We provide Full Size templates to trace and step by step
written instructions to guide you. Or choose to paint your own freehand design.
    

DIY POTTERY WHEEL THROWING

$24.99 per person
Call us to reserve a pottery wheel and try out making ceramics on a wheel with
no instructor!  Staff will set you up with a serving of fresh clay then it's all
up to you to make your own ceramic piece! Easily accessible from Brandon,
Clinton, Ridgeland, Madison, Pearl, or Florence.

 Call to reserve a spot on one of our 4 DiY pottery wheels in the front room.
Check out our Classes & Camps page for instructor led lessons on our six pottery
wheels in the brand new Clay Room!

Our last pottery wheel seating of the day is 7:00 pm for the DIY wheels in the
front room.  

Did you make an awesome ceramic on the wheel? 

For $4.99 per piece we will bisque fire them in our kiln and it will be ready to
take home in 3-5 weeks with a natural clay finish. 

Or you may paint it with our permanent glazes for ceramics and we will fire it
again, both firings and colors included in the $4.99.  

No instructor.  Suitable for ages 12 and up. 

Only one person per wheel, another person may give verbal instruction but they
may not touch the clay only the person who signed up to throw is to be hands on
with the clay process.

Anyone else who handles the clay will also be charged the DIY pottery cost of
$24.99.
Additional servings of clay may be purchased for $5 each.  Watch these videos
before you come in and you will be ready to have some messy fun on the wheel!

DIY CLAY SCULPTING

$24.99 per person

 Walk in and try out hand building clay with no instructor! Staff will set you
up with the fresh clay and tools then it's all up to you! Includes one serving
of earthenware clay.        

 Did you make a cool wind-chime or business card holder?  For $4.99 per piece We
will bisque fire them in our kiln and it will be ready to take home in 3-4 weeks
with a natural clay finish. Or you may paint it with our our permanent glazes
for ceramics and we will fire it again, all included in the original $4.99
firing fee.  No instructor.  

For 5+ years and up. Everyone participating by touching the clay is charged for
DIY Sculpting. Extra servings clay may be purchased for $5 each.

We offer children's birthday parties or private studio sessions for adult or
children's events.

KID'S CANVAS PAINT PARTY

     Our party host will lead everyone in painting on a 12X12" stretched cotton
canvas the design you select from our fun Paint Party Project wall! 

  Party is one hour long, painting instruction will start promptly so be ready
to get your art on! No food or drinks. Presents and table decor allowed for
Kid's Paint Party.  For kids age 8+ 

CANVAS PAINT PARTY


$280 up to 8 guests
+35 booking fee 

+35.00 per additional guest, painting or not.
     Our party host will lead everyone in painting a 16x20" or 12X12" stretched
cotton canvas of the design you select from our Paint Party Project Library. 

There are over 200 designs to pick from! Up to 2 hours long. No food, but drinks
in covered cups/mugs are fine! Presents and table decor allowed for Canvas Paint
Party. 

 Suitable for ages 16+ 

CLAY PARTY


$159 up to 6 guests
+$35 booking fee 

+$15.99 per additional artist  
     Our party host will lead everyone in creating a one of a kind hanging
plaque or Trinket Dish out of wet clay! Guests will paint the top side with one
of our specialty glazes at the party. One hour long.

 No food or drinks.  Presents and table decor are allowed at your Clay Party. 

Suitable for any age able to write their own name unassisted.  Anyone that
participates with shaping the clay will be counted as a clay artist and charged.

We can meet you at your school, clubhouse or church space and lead an event for

  Book the studio for a Private party outside of our regular open hours of 12-9
Monday -Friday, 11-9 Saturday or anytime on Sundays.
After hours events are 1.5 hours long and have a $295 minimum spending base
cost 

+35 booking fee. 

Food, drinks, presents and table decor allowed for After Hours Party Events.

Main event room seats 30 Max

95 is the Max occupancy for the whole studio by fire code.

All prices listed are plus Tax. 

There are non refundable hourly booking fees for all party packages.

Groups up to 6-7 total people are welcome to celebrate without a party package
but no decor, balloons, presents or outside food, drinks or snacks are allowed
in the studio without a party package. 

 Adults must be seated with kids. 

      Party hosts may arrive up to 15 minutes before the party start time. 

We can store items or have a dedicated space for an entertainer (face painter,
balloon artist, costumed character etc.) for +$20 fee. 

 Four non painters are included at no charge with any Party package.  Additional
non painters are +5 each, billed to the party host.

Table top decor only, no tape/tacks or wall/hanging decor allowed. 

Balloons on ribbons or strings are fine. Presents and table top decor are
allowed with all event room bookings. No loose/floor balloons or
inflating/popping balloons in the studio to not disturb other guests painting at
Fat Cat.  

Please no confetti cannons, pinatas, balls, silly string, stereos, karaoke,
punching toys, swords, noisemakers, sparklers, helium tanks/balloon prep, or
other items that interfere with the rest of the guests relaxing at Fat Cat.  

Cats are in residence at the Flowood studio.
