OUR SAFARI ROOMS



Anchored by our central, welcoming homestead, our private rooms are thoughtfully
positioned amongst the trees, providing a sense of seclusion and serenity. Each
room is light-filled and beautifully appointed, with private plunge pools and
breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape.

At night, after an eventful day, drift off to dreamland as you bask in the
delightful hubbub of the African bush right on your doorstep, knowing every

A total of eight spacious and beautifully appointed rooms, two of which are
exquisite two-bedroom family rooms. Each room boasts a private en-suite with
double vanities, as well as both shower and bath facilities for your ultimate

Home from home and 5* star luxury.
We couldn’t have asked for more.

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, my family and I were made to
feel completely at home.

The staff are all lovely, the game drives were out of this world, the food was
excellent and varied, the rooms were finished off to a very high standard, and
the setting was picturesque.

We were lucky enough to stay at Walkers Plains Camp and now have the most
amazing memories of this trip.

Out of this world!!

An unforgettable experience. A true high-end luxury camp in the heart of one of
South Africa’s best game-viewing regions. From the moment we arrived we were
treated like royalty.

The food was divine, the guiding and tracking out of this world and the game
sightings were the best we’ve ever experienced.

Our four days at Walkers Plains Camp was worth every cent and we will be back.

This place is heaven!

The lodge is still very new and gorgeous, but what makes it truly special is the
staff working there. Everyone is so welcoming and helpful.

The game drives with Tristan and Walter were amazing, and we had the opportunity
to see rhinos, lions, hyenas, wild dogs, lots of elephants, and other game.

Each room comes with its own plunge pool and deck, offering an amazing view over
the plains. The main deck and pool also provide direct views of the waterhole,
where you can spot incredible wildlife.

Overall, it is a wonderful lodge that I highly recommend.

Beware – this place is very addictive! You will not want to leave.

Magical is the best word to describe Walkers Plains Camp. The lodge and rooms
are stunning, the view of the plains is breathtaking, the staff is beyond
incredible and the game viewing is out of this world.

What James and Steve have achieved here is something very special indeed. It is
without a doubt luxury at its best. But at the same time, you immediately feel
right at home and like you have known everyone forever. The food and the
hospitality are truly excellent.

Paul and Clarence (guide and tracker) are so brilliant at what they do. The
drives are both fun and educational, there’s always something new to learn. They
get you so close to the animals but without causing them any stress. Your mind
will truly be blown by the sights and sounds that you will experience.

I could write for days about the lodge itself- directly out of a Safari Lodge
magazine but so much more beautiful than a photo can ever display. Comfort
beyond my wildest expectations but I will reduce it to one word to save space:
DIVINE.

The 2 Drives daily were also far beyond anything I ever imagined. Our
exceptional guide Roan and our talented tracker Zekele made certain to
personalize our experience. Their work is not just a job but a passion and we
felt their love for the bush every moment. WOW! We not only saw and took photos
of the many animals but we learned a ton!

Owners James and Steve have created heaven on earth and I hope to have the
opportunity to return someday. I BEYOND Highly recommend it!!!!

Let me start off by saying this place is UNREAL!

The lodge itself is so beautiful. It felt like it was straight out of a
magazine. The main area is open and inviting – lots of places to lounge and grab
a drink or snack and wait for your favorite animal to pop up at the watering
hole. The rooms were incredible – big comfy beds, high-end products and your own
private pool to enjoy. I seriously wanted them to come and design my home next!

Steven and James take such pride in this place and it shows. They are always
around making sure guests and the property are tended to. You can tell they’ve
taken all of their experience and poured the best of it into this place. I love
that their pets are just as much a part of the lodge as they are!

Thank you very much for providing such a wonderful experience for my daughter
and me. What a special place you have created!!

The camp’s grounds and facilities are very comfortable, inviting, fresh and
upscale. The service staff were all very welcoming, friendly and a pure joy to
be around. We were blown away by the food we were served. The chef gave us
wonderful choices and prepared dinners that would rival any of the top
restaurants in Toronto.

Our guide (Paul) and tracker (Clarence) were accommodating, extremely
knowledgeable (animals, plants and birds) and very professional. We always felt
super safe.

An absolutely stunning lodge with the most splendid ‘Out of Africa’ view of the
plains and mountains beyond, which makes the setting truly unique from other
lodges.

The friendly staff went out of their way to make our stay extra special. The
guides were super friendly and knowledgeable – and you’ll even see tons of game
from the private plunge pool outside your room

This is an experience. The Big 5 in one and a half days. We saw leopard (3
times), lion (many, some fresh on a buffalo kill), buffalo, rhino and several
elephant, one of whom came to the camp to drink from the pond right on the
fence.

An exquisite room, with indoor and outdoor shower, a fully stocked bar and your
own private splash pool. The food was sublimely good, and the menus were varied
and beautifully presented and tasty.

The staff are, without exception, of the highest order. Congrats Walkers!!!! You
have an awesome safari camp! Can’t wait to come back!!!

The best kept secret in the Timbavati!

Amazing lodge, with spectacular views, a private pool and all the amenities you
may need. Brand new, well equipped and comfortable vehicles and food of the
highest quality.

What sets Walkers Plains Camp apart from the rest is the abundance of wildlife,
often getting multiple Big 5 sightings in a single day. The staff is friendly,
knowledgeable and caters for your every need.

A must-visit lodge, we will definitely be returning to Walkers.
