PRELICENSING EDUCATIONAL AND EXAMINATION OBJECTIVES

License Examinations Available in Multiple Languages - On January 1, 2024, the
California Department of Insurance (Department) sponsored bill, Assembly Bill
451 (Calderon, Chapter 136, Statutes of 2023) will take effect. This new law
amends California Insurance Code section 1677 requiring the Department to offer
its English language license examinations in Spanish, Korean, Simplified
Chinese, and Vietnamese. Additionally, on July 1, 2024, these examinations will
also be available in Tagalog.

Schedule Your License Examination - On December 15, 2023, individuals may start
to schedule their Spanish, Korean, Simplified Chinese, and Vietnamese language
license examinations online through PSI’s Examination Scheduling Service or by
telephone at (833) 518-7456. For additional information, please review the
Department’s Notice regarding New Examinations Available in Spanish, Simplified
Chinese, Vietnamese, and Korean beginning January 1, 2024, and Tagalog on July
1, 2024.

To assist license examinees and the Department’s approved education providers,
the Prelicensing Educational and Examination Objectives listed below are
available in Spanish, Korean, Simplified Chinese, Vietnamese. On July 1, 2024,
these objectives will also be available in Tagalog. All documents are in Word
format.
