It is a modernized, convenient, easy-to-use, and direct method to transform the current practices and processes employed by the Office of Teacher Certification. The Office of Teacher Certification, with the Nova Scotia Department of Education and Early Childhood Development (EECD), is responsible for the following: * Processing initial teacher certification applications * Processing applications for increases in teacher classification * Recording teaching service for certified teachers in Nova Scotia * Providing a suite of administrative services for certified teachers * Investigating matters of teacher misconduct Please select one of the options from the menu on the left to access further information regarding our services. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FEES Teacher's Certificate Fee initial certificate $106.15 renewal of certificate $46.45 duplicate certificate $46.45 higher class of certificate $35.00 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PAYMENT METHODS Fees can be paid online using our Online Payment Service for: * Nova Scotia Teacher's College Transcripts **Not available Sundays 12:00am - 10:00 am AT for scheduled maintenance Fees may also be prepaid by money order payable to the Minister of Finance, Nova Scotia. Incomplete applications for increases in classification will not be processed. Planning in advance of a deadline will allow time to request and submit all required documentation.
