WELCOME!


Welcome to Variety.TF! Our servers are catered towards players who want a
bot-less, vanilla, casual-like experience but are tired of constantly playing on
the same maps and desire a fresher experience. Our servers are designed to put
many of the incredibly well-made community-created maps in the spotlight. One of
the ways we do this is by incorporating a special “Variable Rotation” which
forces map variety and stamps out favouritism and bias. We understand the dire
state of modern TF2, and hope to provide another option for players to enjoy the
game.

We seek to establish a friendly, casual community that echoes back to the
classic era of community servers. That means creating an environment where
people can make friends and have fun playing the game. For instance, we have
alltalk enabled to promote more chatter between people and discourage
competitive-style callouts. Whether you are a new player or an old competitive
veteran, we hope to bring all players together in a place where we can enjoy TF2
and continue to play this amazing game that we have loved for so many years.

At the moment, we are unable to support servers in other regions. We understand
the frustration of being unable to play and hope to open servers in other
regions in the future. We are also open to adding more servers within Europe and
North America in different areas. (Mainly East and West Coast US)

Map Rotation


PUTTING COMMUNITY MAPS FIRST!

In order to ensure the same maps aren’t being played over and over, we run a
special map rotation system where certain maps are only available on certain
days. There is a total map pool of 108 maps in the current rotation. A third of
these maps are stock maps, the other two thirds are community-made. Each day has
12 unique maps assigned to it, in a cycle that resets every 9 days. You can

DO THESE SETTINGS FEEL FAMILAR TO YOU?

Here are some key details about our server setup you need to know before you
join:

 * No random crits
 * No random bullet spread
 * No weapon bans or rebalancing
 * No custom content except for maps
 * Class limit of 3 for all classes
 * Alltalk enabled
 * Scrambling and Auto-balance enabled to prevent unbalanced matches

Server Rules


THERE’S NO NEED TO WORRY, I’M SURE YOU’RE A GOOD PERSON… RIGHT?

 1. Treat people with respect regardless of their identity.
 2. Avoid political discussions and don’t attack people for having certain
    political beliefs.
 3. Do not spam or micspam on the servers.
 4. Posting of images containing nudity, gore or disturbing content (nsfw
    content) is forbidden. Suggestive is okay. This also applies with in-game
    sprays or making weirdly sexual comments in general.
 5. Any decision by Staff is final.
 6. No advertising. Promotion of one’s services (such as artwork) is allowed on
    the #creative channel in the Discord server.
 7. Do not abuse voting on the servers.
 8. Use common sense, if it’s generally frowned upon it might not be a good idea
    to do it.
