What is SEO?

Search Engine Optimization is the process of creating high quality pieces of
content that get recommended by search engines to people who are searching for
specific keywords. There are 100s of different factors that determine whether a
search engine recommends your content to people, but when you satisfy that
criteria, search engines reward you with a free, consistent, and reliable source
of “organic traffic” to your website. SEO is a long term strategy that almost
any business can (and should!) use because an increase in website visitors
usually leads to an increase in revenue too. In contrast to paid ads, SEO can be
done for free; it does not cost any money to rank in search engines—only time,
effort, and an understanding of what search engines like and don’t like.

About Meelad Mashaw

I’ve been doing SEO for 10 years. From 2013 to 2018 I worked at tech companies
and marketing agencies, while also doing SEO for my personal projects outside of
work. In 2018, I left the corporate world to become a full-time freelancer,
content creator, and entrepreneur. Since then I’ve worked with hundreds of
different clients to improve their online presence, built sites that have
generated tens of millions of organic visitors, and have founded multiple
profitable businesses online using the same SEO methods I teach.
