They allow surgeons to plan surgery in greater detail and go into the operating room with greater confidence, reducing surgical time, cost and improving patient safety, understanding and satisfaction. Conceptualiz enables healthcare providers, with no prior experience in 3D modelling, to easily create accurate 3D digital models quickly and automatically from medical imaging data with the touch of a finger. Our mobile iPad app virtual surgical planning and 3D printing software platform allows orthopaedic surgeons to plan surgical steps on their patient; such as osteotomy, fracture reduction, screw placement and plate templating. Automatic plate contouring makes templating easy and enables the development of custom plate designs. Other types of 3D implants, such as hip and knee replacements, are available and can be imported and templated to fit the patient. Measurements of lengths and angles can be performed in 3D space. Surgeons can then export their 3D surgical plan as an STL file for 3D printing.
