Skip to content holdenqmfy09988.jaiblogs.com Welcome to our Blog! A COURSE IN MIRACLES - EASTER A COURSE IN MIRACLES - EASTER September 23, 2023 Category: Blog What Is Resurrection? According to the Course, resurrection is the experience of joining with God and His Son Christ. It occurs when we forgive all attacks against our true Identity as God’s holy Son, and allow God to remove the belief that attack thoughts, words, or deeds are real. It is a natural outcome of practicing the Course’s teaching of forgiveness and of acknowledging that our true desire is to love and be loved in return. It is also the heavenly condition of knowing reality directly, without any filter of sense perception or interpretation. It is the final step in the process of awakening. What Is Heaven? Traditionally, the Bible refers to heaven as God’s special place of dwelling. It is where He sits at the right hand of the Father (Revelation 22:17). It’s also the place where Jesus ascended after His resurrection. It’s the place where Enoch and Elijah are said to have gone before they died. It’s the abode of those who have been redeemed by Christ. The Apostle Paul says, “To die is gain; to be with Christ is eternal life” (1 Corinthians 15:29). It’s the presence of all that’s good and the absence of all that’s evil. It’s the fullness of all that God’s loving heart desires, His incredible mind conceives and His almighty power can create. It’s a place where the love of God flows freely and completely to all people. The Bible teaches that it is not your church or denomination that gets you into heaven, but whether or not you’re born again (John 3:3). If you’re saved, your name is written in the Lamb’s book of life and you have received Christ’s atoning blood for your sins. Many people think that heaven is one never-ending musical where they sing in a choir day and night. The Bible teaches that there will be much more to heaven than that. We were made for a person and a place, and that Person is Jesus. We will live with Him forever in a new heaven and new earth. He is worthy of worship day and night, forever. But we will also do a lot of other things. The world around us will be a paradise. And our lives on earth will be even more meaningful and purposeful than they are now. a course in miracles podcast What Is Hell? Traditionally, hell is described as a terrible place of torment, punishment and separation from God. Jesus often spoke of hell in his teachings, using dramatic imagery and strong language to warn about the dangers of sin. He spoke of a fire that would not be quenched, outer darkness, and weeping and gnashing of teeth (Matthew 5:22, Mark 9:43, Luke 16:19-31). Jesus also warned that the unrighteous will suffer punishment commensurate with their crimes. The Apostle Paul, in 2 Thessalonians 1:9, wrote that the unrighteous will be punished with "everlasting destruction away from the presence of the Lord." The doctrine of eternal punishment (ECT) teaches that all people who die without accepting Christ's atoning work will eventually go to hell, which is a place of eternal separation from God. This view is based on the Bible's clear teaching that God will punish sinners according to their deeds, and that God's holiness and perfections require that his presence be reserved for perfect beings. The Bible explains that even seeing the most minor sin in his presence will lead to death (Exodus 33:20). The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints teaches that those who commit what is called the unpardonable sin, or sin against the Holy Ghost, will be consigned to a place called hell, or outer darkness. In the Doctrine and Covenants, it states that this will be a punishment for all who have not repented in mortality. It is a place of endless suffering, and there will be no end to it. For this reason, it is important to accept Christ's atoning grace in this life, so that you will not be condemned in the next.
