# 101 - NOT A CARD & AN IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT



The new challenge starts today but before I tell you about it, I would like to
announce that this will also be the last challenge here at Sugar Creek Hollow. 
For the past five years I have been looking after my elderly Mother-in-Law who
has dementia and lives 2000 miles away, which has brought a lot of challenges
and worn me out.  I realized recently that the time has come to look after me,
spend more time with my Grandchildren, finish projects that have been set aside
and create for fun.

I have enjoyed all the years that I have been running and then owning Sugar
Creek Hollow and I am grateful for the wonderful talented people who have served
on the Design Team.  I especially want to thank Patti Painter for being my
backup and a wonderful and treasured friend.  Thanks also to Renee Matarese who
looked after the Facebook page until recently.

Thank you also to all of the wonderful participants and the legions of
followers.  I certainly hope you have enjoyed what we have provided for you and
while not many of you entered our challenges I am sure you got a great deal of
inspiration from us. 




So on to the challenge and this time it is titled NO CARDS. We want you to make
gifts, home decor, altered items, etc. and while they do not have to be
Christmas themed you might want to take advantage of the fact that it is that
time of year. Your project must be shabby chic or vintage.

For this challenge only a random winner will be chosen provided we have at least
nine entries.  The random winner will receive a piece of word art and a winner's
badge.  Once this challenge ends in two weeks and the winner is posted, no
further posts will be made.

If you were a Top Pick in September, October or November, you will also receive
a piece of word art shortly to compensate for the fact that you didn't get the
opportunity to be a Guest Designers as the care giving got in the way of my
requesting a vote from the Design Team.

The Design Team have created some wonderful final projects for your
inspiration.  Please click on their names to go to their blogs where you will
get all the details.  While you are there be sure to leave them a little love
because they certainly deserve it.

WINNERS - #99 RECYCLING AND RE-PURPOSING






Happy Monday, first let us say a thank you to all that entered our recycling and
re-purposing challenge. What fun seeing all of the unique items used in your
creations.



Loreal was our random winner and will receive a piece of word art and a winner's
badge.

The design team has chosen this gorgeous altered piece of art
by scrappinmad-karien as their Top Pick this week. Karien will also be recieving
a piece of word art from Sugar Creek Hollow.

POST YOUR VINTAGE CARD CREATIONS TO OUR FB PAGE






Welcome to the Sugar Creek Hollow Challenge Blog, please read the rules before
entering our challenge.

There will be a new challenge every second Saturday and you have until midnight
EST on the Friday before the next challenge is posted to enter.

You may combine your entry with as many other challenges as you like, however
please do not link back to old work. Your entries must be linked to the specific
blog post and not your main URL. You must also provide a link to the Sugar Creek
Hollow Challenge in your post.

Your project must be a card or other paper crafting item, such as a scrapbook
layout, box, tag, etc. Your project must be made in a vintage or shabby chic
style. Projects that are not vintage or shabby chic will not be eligible to win
any prizes.

You may use any images on your project but your project must follow the
challenge as defined. Any entries not meeting the challenge rules will be
removed.

You may make a maximum of 3 different entries to the challenge.

Prizes will only be awarded if there are a minimum of 9 eligible entries.
