Skip to content TfL Employee hub WELCOME TO OUR TFL EMPLOYEE HUB We continue to experience issues following a cyber security incident. We’re in the process of a full system reset and all colleagues will lose access to their OneLondon accounts. We’ve set up this hub site to share information. A MESSAGE FROM COMMISSIONER ANDY LORD MORE INFORMATION Time slots to reset your password Reset locations Q&As Multi-factor authentication guidance A MESSAGE FROM CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER SHASHI VERMA Thank you for your patience and co-operation during this challenging time. We’ve been working closely with the National Crime Agency, National Cyber Security Centre and other specialists to manage the ongoing cyber incident and further protect our organisation. Our investigations have identified certain colleague and customer data has been accessed. In terms of colleague data, we believe this is restricted to directory details (TfL email addresses, job titles and employee numbers). Our investigations to date do not suggest any other data, such as bank details, date of birth or home addresses etc, have been accessed. On advice from specialists, we have deliberately reset every colleague’s OneLondon account. This means you will not be able to access your email account, Platform and other applications. What next Given the severity of the situation and how important it is to protect ourselves and our customers, you will need to attend an in-person time slot to verify your identity and reset your password. Getting back online Getting everyone back online as soon as possible is important – we need to complete the task – so please work with us in making the very best use of the slots available. If you have a time slot for your password reset already: * Make sure you attend it and at the time and location specified If you don’t yet have a time for your password reset: * Please do not attend until asked, and instead, standby your phone as we may offer you one at short notice * Alternatively, attend a walk-in between 18:30-07:30 which are available at Palestra, Endeavour Square, and Pier Walk on Monday 16 September and Tuesday 17 September evenings this week. As per our plan – all colleagues will be given a password reset time slot this week. In these unprecedented times, we ask all colleagues to make every effort to attend and support our recovery. Staying safe online If you have already reset your password, thank you. Now more than ever we must be mindful of the security of our organisation and security in our personal lives. Make sure you: * Defend against phishing – don’t click on anything suspicious * Secure your devices -keep apps and software updated * Use multi-factor authentication (MFA) and a strong password- Using a passphrase or three random words is best practice * Report incidents to phishing@tfl.gov.uk Keeping London moving We’ve activated our business continuity plans – keep working and focusing on providing the best service to our customers. Line managers/people leaders will use WhatsApp groups to share updates with teams. We need your help Some customers may ask questions about the security of our network and their data. First and foremost, we must reassure that our network is safe. Secondly, we’re contacting customers directly about steps being taken regarding their data. We recognise this exercise will be disruptive but our safety and security always comes first. Thank you for your support and patience as we work through this together. Thank you We appreciate this is taking some time but it’s critical we get this right. Most importantly, our public transport network continues to be safe, secure and operating as normal. Thank you for your patience and continuing to provide excellent service to our customers and city.
