Welcome to the GMO and DNA stock management system of the Ott lab at the
University of Freiburg.

The following databases contain all required and available information on seed
stocks, glycerols stocks and primers. Please keep in mind that we are obliged by
German law to keep a precise and error-free record of all stocks we have
created. Thus, you must enter all information upon creation of a stock and
immediately obtain one of the unique IDs that are automatically created by the
databases. Use these IDs for all future experiments so that all steps can be
tracked. Please also continously update any information (e.g. when stocks were
sent to other labs or used in our or other publications).

In the end the system will make your life in the lab much easier and help future
lab members to trace any material they obtain from you or former colleagues.
