This recording is a two hour excerpt from my 7 hour set at The Sound Garden
during 4th of JuPlaya in the Black Rock Desert.

Begins with some nice hypnotic tech house tracks before settling into a late
night minimal energy to keep moving through dawn.

I was in the closing timeslot on the Mars stage at the annual Bombay Beach
Bienalle, and knew I wanted to do something that kept with the Bienalle's
emphasis on experimentation and art. The party had been going for hours so when
I came on I built crowd rapport by matching the previous DJs uptempto house
music for a minute

This recording begins at the point where I throw the brakes and dive down into
witchy 85bpm sounds, before gradually picking up speed over the rest of the set,
refreshing a fading dance floor into full intensity party to berlin-esque
downtempo dance music.

The Chatsubo closing party was the last of the season, and it begins with an
empty dance floor around 5pm; we had just finished a day of doing strike in our
collective's desert compound and the last few tasks were still wrapping up. All
the other structures besides Chatsubo, our bar/dance building, had been taken
down at this point, so there was this raw end-of-the-world energy in the air.

This mix projects a very gentle healing energy for the occasion. Sunset occurs
at +51:00, and after that the energy gently gathers over the next hour until we
have a packed dance floor moving to downtempo beats.
