'Crook' is an old and frequently used Aussie slang term meaning 'sick' (among
other things) e.g. "Pete's gone home crook" etc. So I don't reckon Captain
Crook, as a marketing tool for fast food, would have caught on down here...

We had an Australian exchange student in my Long Island (New York) high school,
who was shocked when the teacher (after the class did poorly on a test) was
ranting about how "pissed" he was. The teacher, after yelling for 5 or 10
minutes, stopped after seeing the look on Dave's face. That's when we found out
what "pissed" meant pretty much everywhere else in the world, and the teacher
had to explain that he was angry and not drunk.

Somebody needs to make one of those nine alignments memes with the various fast
food companies IDed as various alignments. I can see Burger King as Lawful Evil
and Arby's as Chaotic Evil.

There's this one already but it's clearly wrong

Now I'm waiting for other games by megacorporations, after they find out putting
out a decent tabletop game is much cheaper than the "gamification" sold by
marketing departments.

Why would Arby's be chaotic evil? (Other than for feeding people their food)

Chick-fil-a is definitely LG. Christian company, bible verses on the cups,
squeaky clean image. Even their kids meals have educational material instead of
toys.

Taco Bell is definitely NE. Tempting people to eat their 100% unhealthy
simulated food is pure maliciousness for the sake of profit.

Wrong by what yardstick? If you read the link you'll see the person who
fabricated the pic did so for a thesis which was based on company attitude
towards communities & customers. Now if you're judging it solely on the food
they serve, well...yeah, it's probably not the same. For one thing, the top row
would be empty based on that premise.

I'd say Chik-fil-a is very clearly Evil, given their stance that some people
don't deserve to be people.

Arby's is CE because their food is horrible, pure and simple. It's like a
simulacrum of fast food.

I'd put the evil row as Arby's, Jack-in-the-box, and Burger Thing

Depends on the Arby's. Two I have been to the food was indeed awful. One was
very good, along with good service.

Well, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut and KFC are all the same company…

Trying to make a burger-like thing out of a roast beef sammich is a non-starter.
It's like those Australian musk-flavor candies. NO. Just no. Solid no. No
goodness is even theoretically possible.

When I was a kid there was Arby's in my country and I liked them over McD.

Too bad they closed up shop and left, along with Jack in the Box. However, in
the last 10 years BK, Wendy's and KFC came back.

Of all of these, I like Wendy's the most, but there are so many indie burger
joints in my city, with similar price and better burgers, that I rarely visit a
major chain.

Old schoolers complaining about the Wendy's RPG is like Rock n Rollers
complaining about the beats on an Eminem album. You're not the intended
audience.
Crom is your god, Crom and he lives in the earth. Once, giants lived in the
Earth, Conan. And in the darkness of chaos, they fooled Crom, and they took from
him the enigma of steel. Crom was angered. And the Earth shook.

There's not really an intended audience. I mean there is, and some people might
download and play it, but that's beside the point. The intention of the game is
to get viral attention, and has done that impressively. The story is being
passed around social media like a kitten video. My wife got the story from one
of her makeup groups. There are old women reading the about it like "What's an
RPG? Is it like that satanic game from the 80s?" They definitely got their
moneys worth for however much it cost them to develop it. If any kids actually
play it and buy Wendy's as part of the game that's an added bonus.

This. The only intent of Wendy's for its investment is that the story is picked
up by some mainstream, non-segmented news like USA Today or (better) NBC News.
It's already worth every penny spent in getting gamer-pop culture
discussion/visibility for Wendy's, but that would be the jackpot.

Just like with social media, your adoption/use of the RPG is not the goal.
They're not going to start supporting an RPG in any scenario.
