STIHL TIMBERSPORTS® is an extreme sports competition series in logger sports.
The world’s best athletes compete in three axe disciplines – Springboard,
Underhand Chop and Standing Block Chop – and three sawing disciplines – Single
Buck, Stock Saw and Hot Saw (tuned, customized chainsaw).

THE HISTORY

Lumberjack sports or logger sports has a tradition dating back more than one
hundred years and is therefore often referred to as "The Original Extreme
Sport". As early as the end of the 19th Century, lumberjacks began competing
with each other in wood chopping and sawing in their spare time.
