CALCIUM BOOSTER

A fast-acting gel formulated from three highly available sources of calcium to
ensure blood calcium levels are elevated and sustained quickly. Contains Vitamin
D3 & Magnesium to facilitate calcium metabolism and optimal bone
calcium release.

SCOURLYTE


INSTANT REHYDRATION THERAPY

At the first sign of scour, rehydration is always the top priority for the
calf’s health. Scourlyte has been developed as a ready to use liquid formula to
enable a quick application and quick action on rehydrating the calf. It can also
be applied through milk allowing energy and protein supply to remain
undisturbed. 

Scourlyte also contains betaine and organic zinc to help the regeneration of
damaged gut mucosa and improvement of cell water hydration. Supplied in a 1
litre dosing bottle (50ml per calf dose).

RUMENADE

After calving it is critical the cow is able to rehydrate herself and replenish

developed to ensure such requirements are delivered quickly and easily to the
cow. 

With highly available levels of calcium, energy, and electrolytes, fed at a high
rate, it ensures the cow is revitalised as soon as possible. The highly
flavoured formula ensures a high volume intake which also reduces
the risk of a twisted abomasum.

SIMPLE CALVING MANAGEMENT TIPS

 * Keep an eye on body condition of cow (aim for 3.25-3.5)
 * Identify “at risk” cows and monitor accordingly
 * Ensure a good precalving mineral has been used
 * Good clean water supply
 * Monitor hoof health, calving is sore enough!
 * Ensure there is enough space available for calving & calves.
 * Cow: 10m2 per cow for 10% of the herd. So, for 100 cows you should have 100m2
   set aside.
 * Calf: 1.7m2 per calf and 7m3 of air space. This could be for up to 65 calves
   in 100cow herd, so 111m2 and 455m3 of air space.
 * Maximise hygiene in calving and calf pens – use a good bedding agent
 * Ensure plenty of clean fresh air for calves
 * Manage post calving feeding for the cow with good nutrition management
 * And last but not least, identify and stock up on supplement supplies to have
   ready at hand.
