MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AND EUROPEAN AFFAIRS TRAVEL ADVICE: COVID-19

As the probability of infection with COVID-19 remains present, Slovenian
citizens wishing to travel abroad are advised to follow the news on the spread
of the virus, especially on the planned route, to check the conditions of entry
into the country of destination, and to comply with local rules. Slovenian
citizens returning from abroad are advised to follow the recommendations of the
National Institute of Public Health (NIJZ).

 * ON WORLD BEE DAY FOCUS ON YOUNG PEOPLE

   Today marks the fifth World Bee Day, declared by the UN General Assembly on
   Slovenia’s initiative on 20 December 2017. In this European Year of Youth,
   World Bee Day is dedicated to the future of beekeeping and the role of young
   people in raising awareness of its importance.

   STATE SECRETARY DR RAŠČAN ON A WORKING VISIT TO BRATISLAVA DISCUSSING
   POSSIBILITIES TO ENHANCE ECONOMIC COOPERATION
   
   State Secretary Stanislav Raščan is paying a working visit to Bratislava to
   talk about strengthening economic cooperation between Slovenia and Slovakia.
   He met with Lucia Kišš, Director General for Economic and Development
   Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak
   Republic.

   BEWARE OF RED PASSPORT AND SLOVENIAN CITIZENSHIP SCAMS
   
   Third-country nationals should exercise the utmost caution in all dealings
   with companies that claim to offer assistance in obtaining Slovenian
   citizenship or Slovenian passports. Many websites and e-mail scams attempt to
   mislead individuals into believing the companies are offering to expedite
   citizenship or passport applications or are acting on behalf of the Slovenian
   authorities.

   CONSULTATIONS OF DIRECTORS-GENERAL FOR EUROPEAN AFFAIRS BETWEEN SLOVENIA AND
   SLOVAKIA
   
   The Director-General for European Union Affairs, Ambassador Barbara Sušnik,
   today held bilateral consultations with Slovakia by videoconference. She and
   the Slovak Director-General for European Affairs, Tomáš Kozák, exchanged
   views on topical bilateral, European, and international issues.
