Either way, it looks like the de facto lead back in Cleveland will miss the next game, at minimum, with the injury. Veteran journeyman Pierre Strong saw more snaps but fewer opportunities than fellow veteran back Kareem Hunt, the
latter of whom punched in two short yardage scores in Week 7. Assuming Ford misses time, fantasy managers are likely better served snagging Hunt over the less efficient Strong from waivers.</div>

defensive game plan. Seattle zone-heavy defense utilizes pieces of the famed Tampa-2 design, which asks its linebackers to made read-based split-second decisions against the run and the pass over the middle of the field. Nwosu’s
absence would be a sizable hit to a Seahawks defense that has allowed just 3.5 yards per carry to opposing backs this season.</div>

According to Schefter, it is “standard practice” for the league to question a team about a player not being listed on the weekly injury report, particularly when the player is “unavailable for the game or plays far less than what
typically occurs.” Teams can be fined for violating injury-report compliance rules, so we’ll see if anything comes of this later in the week.</div>

2mVikings WR Jordan Addison (leg) was taken to the locker room in the third
quarter of Week 7 against the 49ers.
Addison was having a career game prior to the injury, which occurred near the
end of the third quarter when a defender landed awkwardly on his leg down the
sideline. Addison caught 6-of-9 targets for a career-high 110 yards and two
touchdowns prior to departing. The highlight of his game came on a third down
play with just 16 seconds remaining in the first half as he wrestled the ball
away from the defender to score from 60 yards out.

3hChristian McCaffrey is active for Week 7 against the Vikings.
McCaffrey came into the contest listed as questionable after managing only a
limited showing on Saturday after consecutive missed practices. Expect him to
remain busy considering the high blitz rates from opposing defensive
coordinator Brian Flores and the absence of Deebo Samuel. The fact that
fellow running back Tyrion Davis-Price is inactive is good news for the
league’s top back. Inactive for the 49ers are WR Deebo Samuel, OT Trent
Williams, QB Brandon Allen, DT Kalia Davis, LB Jalen Graham, RB Tyrion
Davis-Price, and TE Brayden Willis.
* Jerome Ford

3hESPN’s Adam Schefter reports Browns RB Jerome Ford has a “low grade, high
ankle” sprain that is likely to sideline him for 1-2 weeks.
Ford was in and out of the game after the first quarter with a mystery
ailment, which now appears to be this mystical “low grade, high ankle”
sprain, or whatever the kids are calling it these days. Either way, it looks
like the de facto lead back in Cleveland will miss the next game, at minimum,
with the injury. Veteran journeyman Pierre Strong saw more snaps but fewer
opportunities than fellow veteran back Kareem Hunt, the latter of whom
punched in two short yardage scores in Week 7. Assuming Ford misses time,
fantasy managers are likely better served snagging Hunt over the less
efficient Strong from waivers.
* Uchenna Nwosu
Sea Linebacker #10
3hSeahawks HC Pete Carroll said “it looks like” LB Uchenna Nwosu will need
surgery for his pectoral injury.
Surgery on a pectoral injury at this stage of the season would almost
certainly end Nwosu’s season, which would be a big blow to a defense that
relies on its athletic linebackers in all phases of the defensive game plan.

compliance questions” to the Falcons about Bijan Robinson’s Week 7 status and
when they knew he was at risk of not playing.
In a story published earlier on ESPN, Falcons head coach Arthur Smith is
quoted as saying Robinson began “feeling weird” on Saturday night and felt
“completely out of it” on Sunday when he woke up. According to Schefter, it
is “standard practice” for the league to question a team about a player not
being listed on the weekly injury report, particularly when the player is
“unavailable for the game or plays far less than what typically occurs.”
Teams can be fined for violating injury-report compliance rules, so we’ll see
if anything comes of this later in the week.

conclusions just yet. If Mayfield is absent on Tuesday, that would create

This is just an estimated injury report, so stay tuned for what the

indicating this could be nothing more than a minor issue they wouldn’t have
forced him to practice with to open the week. If Godwin is able to go in Week
8, he’ll be a WR2 against a Bills defense that has been marred with injuries
in recent weeks.

timeline to return is unknown.
Knox battled through his wrist injury in Week 7, catching 1-of-3 targets in
the Bills’ loss to the Patriots. His absence would theoretically open the
door for Dalton Kincaid to step into a bigger role, as Kincaid is fresh off
an 8/75 performance — the best of his career. McDermott said it’s “too early
to say how much time” Knox will miss, but we’ll likely know more after his
surgery. For now, Kincaid will be a fringe TE1 in Week 8 when the Bills take
on the Buccaneers.

on Wednesday.
Waddle left a portion of the Dolphins Week 7 loss to the Eagles with a back

totaling 6/63 on six targets, playing in his typical WR2 role opposite Tyreek
Hill. Any concerns over his injury seem minor, as it sounds like the team
expects him to play in Week 8 against the Patriots.
