Here are some of the cases the Petaluma police responded to recently. Further
information on some cases was not immediately available and is indicated by the
acronym INA (Information Not Available). The Argus-Courier publishes the names
of people arrested for serious crimes such as those involving physical injury,
property loss or damage of property, including burglary, battery, vandalism and
drunken driving. People who are later found innocent or who have charges dropped
may contact the Argus-Courier to have follow-up information published.

MONDAY, MARCH 19

1:49 p.m. - Police received a report of a burglary on Stuart Drive. INA.

SUNDAY, MARCH 18

12:53 a.m. - Graffiti was discovered on Kentucky Street. INA.

8 a.m. - Police received a report of a grand theft on Rancho Lindo Drive. INA.




1:27 p.m. - Police took a report of a grand theft on Corona Road. INA.

2:10 p.m. - Matthew D. Owens, 31, was arrested for domestic violence and false
imprisonment.

3:55 p.m. - Police took a report of a petty theft on Petaluma Boulevard North.

SATURDAY, MARCH 17

10:58 a.m. - Police received a report of a battery on Casa Grande Road. INA.

12:09 p.m. - Vandalism was discovered on Kentucky Street. INA.

10:37 p.m. - Bobby L. Applegate, 36, of 1301 St. Anthony St. was arrested on
Fourth Street at C Street for possession of a controlled substance and on a
misdemeanor warrant.

10:51 p.m. - Lilly E. Mazza, 26 of 23 Park Ave. was arrested in American Alley
for battery.

FRIDAY, MARCH 16

7:33 a.m. - Three Petalumans were arrested on El Rose Drive for receiving stolen
property. James I. Lanpher, 28, of 101 Verde Court was also arrested for
resisting a police officer. Joel M. Grodivant, 22, of 616 Keokuk St. was also
arrested for possession of narcotics. Ashley E. Barnes, 25, of 101 Verde Court
was also arrested for resisting a police officer.

1:44 p.m. - Police received a report of a fraud from a citizen on Petaluma
Boulevard North.

2:16 p.m. - A 47-year-old Healdsburg man was arrested on Sonoma Mountain Parkway
for shoplifting.

3:05 p.m. - Police took a report of a vehicle burglary on Hayes Lane. INA.

4 p.m. - A burglary occurred on Seventh Street. INA.

THURSDAY, MARCH 15

12:11 a.m. - An ambulance was dispatched for a vehicle accident on the
southbound East Washington Street offramp.

5:40 a.m. - A vehicle was stolen from Catalpa Way.

12:55 p.m. - Police received a report from a resident on Lakeville Circle of
someone receiving property under an assumed identification.

3:55 p.m. - Police took a report of a petty theft on Petaluma Boulevard North.

4:35 p.m. - Kenneth B. Tate, 55, of Santa Rosa was arrested on B Street at
Western Avenue for buying property with the identification number removed,
carrying a blackjack or similar weapon and misdemeanor violation of probation.

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 14

8:34 a.m. - Graffiti was discovered on South McDowell Boulevard.

1:38 p.m. - Police took a report of a forgery from a citizen on Petaluma
Boulevard North. INA

1:55 p.m. - An attempted burglary occurred on Mayflower Street. INA.

4:38 p.m. - A burglary on Post Street was reported. INA

5:40 p.m. - An ambulance was dispatched for a vehicle accident on McKenzie
Avenue at Stuart Drive.

7:38 p.m. - Police investigated a report of a fraud by a resident on Falcon
Ridge Drive. INA.

7:38 p.m. - A burglary on Marble Way was reported.

10:23 p.m. - Police received a report of a fight on Beechwood Drive. INA.

TUESDAY, MARCH 13

7:53 a.m. - Police received a report of someone receiving property under an
assumed identification.

10:22 a.m. - Robert D. Allen, 53, of 739 Gossage Ave. was arrested at his
residence for hit and run resulting in injury and driving while his license was
suspended for DUI.

6:09 p.m. - Michael B. Anthony, 48, of Petaluma was arrested for domestic
violence, damaging a wireless communication device, carrying a concealed weapon
and DUI.

8:47 p.m. - A 13-year-old Petaluma boy was arrested on Lakeville Circle for
battery.
