DANIEL DENNIS

FOR JUSTIN CITY COUNCIL
PLACE 5

HOMETOWN

THERE IS NO PLACE LIKE

HELLO!

My name is Daniel Dennis, and I am running for Place 5 on the Justin City
Council.

My wife, Melissa and I, bought our home in Justin in 2020. We love being here
and have really enjoyed getting to know our neighbors and community!

With all the growth we've experienced, I'm excited to see balanced growth while
preserving that hometown charm.

God. Family. Community. That is our compass. Everything is filtered through
that, and in that order. We love inspiring faith, strengthening friendships,
and building relationships, making the most of every divine encounter.

It's been a privilege and blessing to call the United States, and the great
state of Texas my home since 2011! I wasn't born here, but I got here as fast as
I could! Born in India, and raised in the United Arab Emirates, I saw Dubai go
from a desert wasteland to the thriving megacity it is today. But all that
glitter and glamor lacked heart and soul. I met my wife, a native Texan, in
2009, and the rest, as they say, is history! The land of the free and home of
the brave was soon to be my hometown. In 2015, I had the honor of becoming a US
citizen and I am proud to stand and represent the conservative values that made
this nation great! The freedom we enjoy came at a price, and I am committed to
protecting the rights and liberties granted us by God and the Constitution.

Having traveled the world, after visiting 23 countries and driving through 40
states, Texas is still home! We lived in Grapevine for almost 7 years, and we
experienced the benefits and drawbacks to living in a bigger, fast-growing city.
What ultimately drew us to Justin was the small town feel without the isolation
of rural country living. It's been a joy to live here and I look forward to
serving the community.

> “I am not bound to win, but I am bound to be true. I am not bound to succeed,
> but I am bound to live by the light that I have. I must stand with anybody
> that stands right, and stand with him while he is right, and part with him
> when he goes wrong.”

Abraham Lincoln

ABOUT DANIEL

I am an entrepreneurial visionary with one key focus in every endeavor: to
Inspire Greatness and Change Lives! With years of experience helping small
businesses with strategic growth and content marketing, I love to see people
break through their limitations and achieve greatness!

Integrity, Excellence and Innovation. These are my core values that form the
foundation of my personal and business philosophy. My life is dedicated to
inspiring everyone I meet, encouraging personal growth and providing stellar
service. Nothing brings me more joy than seeing people fulfill their dreams and
accomplish their life goals!

Having worked in numerous industries and positions, including mortgage, real
estate, construction, marketing and customer service, to name a few, I bring a
wealth of knowledge and expertise which will provide a unique perspective to the
Justin City Council.

WHY RUN FOR JUSTIN CITY COUNCIL?

SERVE

I am running for City Council because I want to make a difference in the city we
call home. My life motto is Inspire Greatness, Change Lives. I love inspiring
people to grow and become better each day. That is what life is all about. I’m
here to serve by bringing my experience, knowledge and expertise in business,
mortgage, real estate, construction and various other disciplines.

REPRESENT

I don’t care for "playing politics”, or earning power or prestige. It’s not even
about winning the race. I care about this town, its residents and the local
businesses. I'm here to be a voice, not push my personal agenda. I want Justin
to become and remain a town we are all proud to call home!

VISION

“Everything a Hometown Should Be.” I love that tagline, but the question is,
what should a hometown look like? What is important for one person may not be
the same for another. Justin's Comprehensive Plan has been crafted with the
community in mind, and has taken into consideration the feedback and suggestions
of the citizens. The resulting core values and guiding principles should be the
filter for every policy decision that we make as a city moving forward.

A lot of great work has already been done in tweaking the Comprehensive Plan and
envisioning the future of Justin. Now it's our job to keep that momentum going,
and make sure we stay balanced and not grow too fast. We are at a critical point
in our growth, and we need to manage this growth strategically, wisely and
efficiently. Our population is estimated to double in the next 10 years, so
every decision we make right now as a city will determine the quality of life we
will enjoy 10 years from now.

Most of us want that small town feel, but we also want the convenience of more
shopping and dining options in town. We want increasing property values, but we
also want safe, friendly and peaceful neighborhoods. We want the revenue to
develop our city aesthetically and create beautiful parks and community spaces,
but we don’t want the crime and traffic that comes with growth. It's all about
finding the right balance between consistent growth and preserving that small
town charm.

STRATEGIC PILLARS

A

ACTIONABLE SAFETY

We have to be proactive in adopting standards for safety and security in our
neighborhoods and streets. As we grow, this should be our number one priority.
We need a clear, growth plan for our emergency services.

B

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

According to residents surveyed by the company that developed our Comp plan, the
number one focus should be on bringing in businesses. Being a small business
owner myself, I have always had a heart for helping small businesses grow and
thrive. We need to strategically attract great businesses, and also help our
current business owners to thrive. On top of that, we need to encourage new
leaders to step up and build businesses.

C

COMMUNITY & RECREATION

The Comp plan includes a great Parks & Trails plan, which needs to be
supplemented with other recreational options and unique spaces where our
residents can relax and unwind. This is what will strengthen our community and
build relationships that will help preserve that small town charm that we all
love!
