ANNOUNCEMENTS

 * Congratulations to the High School Varsity Boys basketball team becoming
   District Champs for the first time since 2009!  The team moves on to Regional
   Semifinals played at 8pm at Trent Arena on Wednesday March 8th.

   Spring Parent/Athlete Meeting
   
   
   Everyone, due to the Boys BK team still rolling in the tournament, we will be
   having our Spring Parents meeting on Tuesday March 7th.
   
   
   The parents meeting will be at 6PM in the HS gym, then break out into
   individual meetings.

   Kindergarten registration dates for the 2023-2024 school year have been set
   for Thursday, May 4th and Friday, May 5th, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., in
   our kindergarten classrooms. 
   Parents who have a child who will be 5 years of age on or before August 1,
   2023 are encouraged to complete their son/daughter’s information on Final
   Forms.

   The Miami East Education Foundation is selling Viking Strong car decals as a
   FUNdraiser for scholarships. $6.00 of every purchase will be donated! Decals
   are on sale at winter athletic events. Look for the Miami East Education
   Foundation table, or the order form posted on the Miami East Website and

   Annual Parent-Member FFA Banquet.  Sunday, March 26th is the date for the
   annual Parent-Member FFA Banquet held in the High School.  The event starts
   at 5:30 p.m. with a silent auction by the FFA Alumni.  A catered meal will
   follow beginning at 6:30 p.m.  The program gets underway at 7:30 p.m.  The
   entire evening is free unless you want to support the FFA Alumni or
   participate in the cake auction for FFA Camp participants.  This is a
   mandatory event for ALL FFA members.  Official dress will be worn.  It’s a
   great time!

   The 95th National FFA Convention is the largest event hosted by the National
   FFA. 20 members of the Miami East-MVCTC FFA chapter were in attendance at the
   convention in Indianapolis.
   
   Over 65,000 members, parents, and guests were in attendance at the National
   FFA Convention. Previous conventions were held in Kansas City, Missouri and
   Louisville, Kentucky.
   
   The Miami East-MVCTC FFA Chapter received a Three-Star National Chapter
   Award, the highest award bestowed to an FFA Chapter. The chapter was selected
   for this honor based on its activities during the previous school year, in
   the areas of growing leaders, building communities, and strengthening
   agriculture.

   the Miami County Solid Waste District Billboard Contest. Jackson's artwork
   will be displayed on a billboard in Miami County this summer. Brad Petry
   presented the award to Jackson on Monday.

   District-wide Assembly to Honor Miami East for Momentum Award
   
   Charlotte McGuire, State Board of Education Representative for District 3,
   will present Miami East with a Momentum Award on Friday, March 23rd in the HS
   gym.  Students from the K-8 building will join high school students in the
   special assembly.  The Momentum Award recognizes exceptional performance by
   schools for receiving A’s on each Value-Added measure on the state report
   card. Congratulations to all Miami East students, parents, and staff!

   Progress Book.  For the 2022-2023 school year the Miami East School District
   will once again utilize Progress Book to updates students and parents
   regarding grades. Progress Book is a district-wide, web-based solution for
   K-12 schools. Progress Book enables parents and students to see student
   progress and see grades online. It can be accessed 24/7 from any internet
   web-browser.  Please utilize Progress Book to stay updated on your
   son/daughter’s grades.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

 * Congratulations to the High School Varsity Boys basketball team becoming
   District Champs for the first time since 2009!  The team moves on to Regional
   Semifinals played at 8pm at Trent Arena on Wednesday March 8th.

   Spring Parent/Athlete Meeting
   
   
   Everyone, due to the Boys BK team still rolling in the tournament, we will be
   having our Spring Parents meeting on Tuesday March 7th.
   
   
   The parents meeting will be at 6PM in the HS gym, then break out into
   individual meetings.

   Kindergarten registration dates for the 2023-2024 school year have been set
   for Thursday, May 4th and Friday, May 5th, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., in
   our kindergarten classrooms. 
   Parents who have a child who will be 5 years of age on or before August 1,
   2023 are encouraged to complete their son/daughter’s information on Final
   Forms.

   The Miami East Education Foundation is selling Viking Strong car decals as a
   FUNdraiser for scholarships. $6.00 of every purchase will be donated! Decals

   Annual Parent-Member FFA Banquet.  Sunday, March 26th is the date for the
   annual Parent-Member FFA Banquet held in the High School.  The event starts
   at 5:30 p.m. with a silent auction by the FFA Alumni.  A catered meal will
   follow beginning at 6:30 p.m.  The program gets underway at 7:30 p.m.  The
   entire evening is free unless you want to support the FFA Alumni or
   participate in the cake auction for FFA Camp participants.  This is a
   mandatory event for ALL FFA members.  Official dress will be worn.  It’s a
   great time!

   The 95th National FFA Convention is the largest event hosted by the National
   FFA. 20 members of the Miami East-MVCTC FFA chapter were in attendance at the
   convention in Indianapolis.
   
   Over 65,000 members, parents, and guests were in attendance at the National
   FFA Convention. Previous conventions were held in Kansas City, Missouri and
   Louisville, Kentucky.
   
   The Miami East-MVCTC FFA Chapter received a Three-Star National Chapter
   Award, the highest award bestowed to an FFA Chapter. The chapter was selected
   for this honor based on its activities during the previous school year, in
   the areas of growing leaders, building communities, and strengthening
   agriculture.
