At Peer Connect, we provide the helpful service of putting you in touch with a
qualified peer support specialist who will offer assistance in times of need and
lend a sympathetic ear whenever you need to talk. To assist you in navigating
difficult moments and exploring different ways to cope with emotional and drugs
issues, our peer support specialists draw on their own experiences of battling
dual diagnosis mental health and substance use challenges. They recognize the
value of having someone who can relate to you and provide advice as you pursue
personal development.

OUR MISSION

Our mission is to reduce the harms of substance use, addiction, and stigma by
engaging adults in creative preventative programs and offering evidence-based,
holistic treatment to help our clients on their path to recovery, we want to
reduce the harmful effects of substance use, addiction, and stigmatization. We
are devoted to providing accepting and inclusive services to everyone who
requires them.

RECOVERY COACH ACADEMY

A Recovery Coach promotes recovery and removes barriers and obstacles to
recovery, serving as a personal guide and mentor for people seeking or already
in recovery from an addiction to alcohol and or other drugs.


RC ETHICAL CONSIDERATION

Ethics trainings are not all created equal. Recovery Coaches need an
understanding of ethics that differs from those of clinicians due to their
unique role while guiding someone through their own recovery process.


PROFESSIONALISM

Since Recovery Coaches are being recognized as having such a profound impact in
recovery, many organizations are looking to hire coaches. Coaches that can
easily demonstrate a high level of professionalism may easily assimilate into
these new exciting employment opportunities.


SPIRITUALITY FOR RC

Got Spirituality? Spirituality is not only a deeply personal subject, it is
often a large component of recovery. So, how do you guide someone through their
own process while managing your own stuff?


RECOVERY COACHING BASICS

This training is based on our flagship training, the Recovery Coach Academy
(RCA). This curriculum provides a basic, introductory version of Recovery
Coaching in order to meet the needs of those who want a general understanding of
the recovery process.


COACHING IN EMERGENCY ROOM

Emergency Departments now recognize that Recovery Coaches can make a difference
in this high paced setting by connecting those that are present in the ED to
pathways of recovery that can be sustained in the long term.
