I received an Over Threshold Alert. Now what?



Aura sends you over threshold alerts when there is a withdrawal, transfer, or
over usage of the amount that you set up for the threshold.

If you recognize this alert, there is no cause for alarm. You can simply archive
the alert.

If you do not recognize this alert, please do the following:


 * Contact your financial institution if you do not recognize the alert activity
   or you suspect the activity is fraudulent.
 * Advise your financial institution that you do not recognize the alert
   activity or that you suspect it is fraudulent.
 * Your financial institution will advise you on steps to take in order to
   resolve the issue.



How do I sign up for Aura?



You can easily sign up for Aura in just a few minutes by following these steps:

 1. First, select "Get Started With Aura" on the right side of this page, or the
    bottom of this page if you're on a mobile device.
 2. On the next screen, select the plan that works best for you.  
 3. After choosing your plan, you will be asked to provide your email address,
    which you will use to login to your account.
 4. In the following steps, you will be asked to enter your name, home address,
    phone number, date of birth, and Social Security Number.
 5. Finally, finish by selecting monthly or annual billing and adding your
    payment information.
 6. After payment, you'll be prompted to set up a password to access your
    account.

Congratulations! You are now signed up for Aura.

To reset your password: 


 1. Click on Sign On at the top of the Aura.com home page. 
 2. Click on Forgot your password? underneath the Sign in button. 
 3. Enter the email address you signed up with.
 4. A link will be sent to your email with instructions to reset your password. 
 5. Open the email and click the link to reset your password.
 6. You will then be redirected to enter a new password.

I received a Credit Alert. Now what?



Aura sends you credit alerts for any account changes, opening and closing of
accounts, and other information reported from accounts that may be associated
with your social security number.

 * Always read the alert from top to bottom.
 * Make sure to read the “What to do” section below the alert.
 * When creating an account, companies will validate personal information to
   verify a person’s identity.
 * Anytime a profile with a company is created, especially those that use card
   transactions, will verify a person’s identity.
 * While many companies perform identity verification themselves, some may use a
   third party, smaller company to perform the identity verification, such as
   Stripe Inc. and Insurance Phone Finder.

I received a Dark Web Alert. Now what?


 1. Immediately change the password for the account referenced in the Dark Web
    alert you received.
 2. Change your password for any online accounts that use this username and
    password (especially bank accounts or accounts where financial information
    is stored). 
 3. Use unique passwords for all your accounts. This limits your exposure when
    account information is compromised.
