DOC RESPONSE TO PEST INCURSION ON TE HAUPA/SADDLE ISLAND IN FULL SWING

Two rats have been caught just days after DOC set out freshly baited traps on Te
Haupa/ Saddle Island north of Auckland.


'JAWS' NARROWLY ESCAPE LOCAL EXTINCTION

A population of a rare native freshwater fish, sometimes known as 'jaws', was
saved in the nick of time after the swift removal of predator trout.


MAINTENANCE WORKS COMMENCE AT FORT TAKAPUNA

Drainage and roofing work is underway to protect the rich history of Fort
Takapuna Historic Reserve in Devonport Auckland.


DOC ŌTEPOTI VISITOR CENTRE TO CLOSE

DOC is closing its Ōtepoti Dunedin Visitor Centre and will focus on wildlife
advocacy in the city in other ways.
