are hard to support on Linux too: lots of image processing is offloaded to
separate components, on separate channels with wide bandwidth in order to
support high definition streaming, and they all have closed source firmware with
custom userspace API, and a ton of IP from a bunch of companies

The theme I most want to explore in my art and music is sorrow. Why? I used to
think that maybe I was sad inside and wanted other people to feel sad, or that I
was obsessed with my own despairs, but I no longer think that's the case.
Sadness is a shallow descriptor which has many types, but it might help more to
examine the difference between sorrow and despair (in my mind).
Despair differs from sorrow in that it contains an element of hopelessness.
Sorrow doesn't deny hope, but doesn't necessarily contain it either. What sorrow
does contain is a yearning towards something which would make it fulfilled. I
feel that sorrow and love are closely intertwined and transcendent emotions that
both ultimately drive positive change in the world. I think maybe they are
really two angles toward the same greater thing, and finding how communicate the
uniting of those concepts is important to me as an artist. It's very difficult
to capture but I won't give up on it.
