MY PROJECT

I am a Special Educator at Rollingwood Elementary in Oklahoma City (Putnam City
School District). It is my goal to give my students the same quality of
education that their General Education Peers receive.

> Unfortunately, my students are left without knowing what their General
> Education classes are doing (which is the same across the board with any
> school), and I want to give them the ability to have resources within my
> classroom to create (art), learn to read with games, have the ability to
> create within their special ed classroom where they can be themselves and have
> fun being who they are, and not who other peers or teachers want them to be.

 * Putnam City Schools
 * Oklahoma City, OK
 * Grades PreK-2
 * More than a third of students from low‑income households
 * Literacy
 * Students with Disabilities
 * Traditional School
 * Classroom Basics

Mrs. Gibson will only receive her materials if this project is fully funded by
March 7.

3rd party payment processing fee The 3rd Party Payment Processing Fee is 1.5%.
This rate represents the weighted average of the processing fees
DonorsChoose.org incurs across the various payment methods used by our donors.

Specifically, for credit card or PayPal donations, DonorsChoose.org pays an
industry-standard processing charge of about 2.5%. Check donations also incur a
nominal handling and processing charge.

Large grants to fund classroom projects effectively do not incur a processing
charge, since we typically receive a large check or wire-transfer.

$7.31

Fulfillment labor & materials DonorsChoose provides end-to-end integrity by
vetting each project before posting it, purchasing and coordinating delivery of
the materials, and processing thank-you letters and photos from the classroom.

This covers not just the labor required to bring a classroom project to life,
but the physical costs of processing student thank-you letters, which include
postage from the classroom to DonorsChoose; postage from our office to the
donor; mail pick-up; and a label, envelope, and cover sheet.

$30.00

Total project cost The total project cost is the sum total of the materials and
fees listed above. It must be met in order for the project to be funded.

$564.48

Suggested donation to help DonorsChoose reach more classrooms Every donor can
opt out of this during checkout.

We encourage donors to dedicate 15% of their donations to support the work we do
to engage teachers, build awareness, fund additional projects, and generally run
DonorsChoose.

Our efficiency has earned DonorsChoose the top 4-star rating from Charity
Navigator. We give donors transparency and control when it comes to supporting
our lean operation.

$99.61

Total project goal The total project goal is the amount we hope to reach, and it
is met if all donors include the 15% optional donation to help DonorsChoose
reach more classrooms.
