INCOME-DRIVEN REPAYMENT ACCOUNT ADJUSTMENT

In April 2022, the U.S. Department of Education announced several updates that
will bring borrowers closer to forgiveness under income-driven repayment (IDR)
plans. The U.S. Department of Education (ED) currently expects that the payment
count adjustment will be completed by July 1, 2024. Therefore, if you have
commercially held FFEL or any Perkins or HEAL loans, ED encourages you to
consolidate them by April 30, 2024, to benefit from the payment count
adjustment. For more information, please visit StudentAid.gov/IDRAdjustment.


YOU MAY HAVE MORE THAN ONE SERVICER: HOW TO FIND OUT

If you have loans with more than one servicer, you will need to make a payment
to each. If you're not sure which servicers have your loans, go to
StudentAid.gov opens in a new tab and log in with your FSA ID, or call the
Federal Student Aid Information Center at 800-433-3243.
