[Breakout] Designing End to End Visibility for a Distributed Workplace

Not only has the typical workplace become distributed among offices, homes,
airports, and coffee shops, but business critical applications have also become
distributed among on-premises data centers, public and private clouds, and
delivered by SaaS providers across the globe. Navigating this tapestry of
different environments means visibility is both that much more important and
that much more difficult for IT. Monitoring an application’s performance,
determining an end-user’s experience, and ensuring the highest levels of
cybersecurity are more important than ever, but more difficult than ever. In
this presentation, we’ll discuss the nuances of designing end-to-end visibility
for today’s distributed workplace.

[Breakout] Digital Workplace Trends for 2022: Optimizing the Digital Employee
Experience

After an extended period of remote work, employees are frustrated and stressed –
and they’re doing something about it, prioritizing their well-being over a
paycheck and leaving organizations that aren’t taking measures to support their
holistic health and wellness.

Addressing this trend is an imperative in the coming year. But what can
organizations do to alleviate the stressors causing such widespread burnout?
They can start by creating digital experiences that eliminate digital friction
and help employees better manage their work.

Join some of Workgrid’s key thought leaders:

 * Rob Ryan, Head of Product Marketing & Business Value
 * Frank Pathyil, Director of Partner Strategy
 * Linnae Selinga, Senior Product Strategist

as we discuss the changing nature of the digital workplace and provide three
approaches organizations can take to optimize the digital employee experience
and set employees up for long-term success.

[Closing Keynote] The Science of Decision-Making, Optimizing Outcomes When the
Stakes are High

How do organizations overcome resistance to change? Most people assume that the
best (and perhaps only) way to create change is to heighten the appeal of the
idea itself. We instinctively believe that if we add enough value, people will
say “yes.” This habit of the mind is called a “fuel-based mindset.” Fuel is what
incites our desire to change. By focusing on fuel to enhance attraction, leaders
and innovators neglect the other half of the equation – the psychological
frictions that oppose change. They create a drag on innovation and overcoming
them is essential for creating change.

The audience will learn…

 * How to disarm resistance to change
 * Why valuable ideas get rejected
 * How to use frictions to build a better, human-centric workplace

[Welcome and Keynote Address] The Business of One: Reimagining the Workplace

The new hybrid workplace can make for a stronger organizational culture, happier
employees and more productive teams—once we embrace a new way of working that
taps into the unique advantages of both office and home, as well as the smart
use of digital collaboration tools.

In this session, you'll find out how you can unlock that potential by thinking
like a "Business of One". Learn how to approach work like a solo entrepreneur
who's responsible for delivering great results, and managing your team so
they're accountable for objectives rather than hours at their desk. That
includes rethinking the balance between solo and collaborative work, and
reclaiming remote days for focused, deep thinking. This session will leave you
ready to seize this historic opportunity to reinvent the way we work—so that you
and your team can thrive on the combination of remote + office.

Key learning objectives:

 * Get a new framework for thinking about your work —the "Business of One"
model—that helps you thrive at remote or hybrid work
 * Find out how to use digital tools to reduce unnecessary meetings
 * Learn how to track the impact of remote and hybrid work on diversity and
inclusion so that it supports your DEI goals rather than undermining progress

[Main Stage Keynote] Putting it All Together: The Cherry on Top of your EUC
Stack

Assembling a “complete” tech stack for a fully flexible workforce includes a lot
of individual pieces. You need to consider who you're servicing.  How do they
work?  What are their workstyles, what can be done by IT to help them?  It leads
to how you’re delivering your Windows apps and desktops (VDI), how you’re
managing users’ devices (MDM, UEM).  You have to know if they are exempt or
hourly, contractors, freelancers, or partners. It gets to how you’re dealing
with BYOD versus corporate-owned devices, how you’ll provide remote support, how
you’ll monitor and manage the user experience (DEX), how you’ll provide secure
remote access (SASE), how you’ll integrate everything with your security
monitoring and management stack.  You know you can have great Experience or
great Security, but you have to design a solution that achieves both.  How
you’ll deal with device provisioning, repairs, and returns, how you’ll set up
new employees and how you’ll decommission things when employees leave, etc, etc.
It can be difficult to tie everything together into a comprehensive EUC strategy
and solution.

In this session, VMware’s Brian Madden and Josh Olson will walk through the
challenges and how they’re seeing customers address this in today’s modern and
flexible work world.

[Breakout] Managing the Moments that Matter in the Digital Workplace

A Gartner survey revealed that only 13% of employees are fully satisfied with
their workplace experience. Organizations across the globe are making
significant investments in efforts to improve this, such as onboarding
investments and workplace redesign. Although these investments incrementally
improve employee satisfaction and engagement, the cost to continue to meet
employees' ever-growing expectations is unsustainable. Enter moments that
matter.

These can be structured or unstructured, expected or unexpected, planned or
unplanned. Identifying them is but one part of the task. How do you then improve
the workplace experience at moments that matter, more so in a constantly
evolving hybrid work environment? For a growing number of enterprises, the
digital workplace is the workplace. Therefore, the digital workplace experience
is the workplace experience. Join us to find out how an increasingly digital
workplace can be leveraged to enhance your employees’ experience at the moments
that matter to your employees.
