Our values, much of our governance, our strategic direction, our programming and everything about SOS Recovery Community Organization is driven by the community and those we serve. We are made up of a small staff who are here to provide the framework and structure for our community to drive our programs, services and offerings. See What We Do WE ARE AN RCO WITH A CAPITAL C. WE ARE AN RCO WITH A CAPITAL C. Our services are primarily driven and run by our staff and volunteers who are made up of individuals in recovery, family members, friends and loved ones of those in recovery, or those who may be still struggling with substances, as well as allies in the community. Much like recovery, we are a diverse group with empathy, compassion, and a deep passion for all that we are doing to provide a safe supportive environment for those impacted by substance use. We have learned that those who use alcohol and other drugs are our parents, brothers, sisters, friends, neighbors, and co-workers and, likewise, the recovery community is represented by all of those at SOS Recovery Community Organization. Get Involved WE MEASURE OUR SUCCESS IN IMPACT. * Named the 2017 Recovery Provider of the Year by the NH Providers Association. * Selected as the 2019 recipient of the Harvard Pilgrim Healthy Community Impact Award. * Recipient of the 2020 Granite State Award by Granite State College. * Recipient of The Falls Chamber Small Non-Profit of the Year 2020 * Recipient of The Exeter Area Chamber Small Non-Profit of the Year 2021 * Recipient of the Greater Dover Chamber Non-Profit of the Year 2021 See Our partners See Our Awards SOSRCO WHAT WE DO PEER-RECOVERY SUPPORT SERVICES SOS Recovery Community Organization is a collaborative of peers seeking to find or maintain recovery from problematic drug use and their allies working together to create safe spaces and peer based recovery supports throughout Strafford County. TRSS is an innovative, peer-to-peer support service. Our staff in many cases are in recovery themselves, make weekly calls to “check in” and see how people are doing. Individuals and family members, or loved ones, are offered support; encouragement and information about resources that may help them maintain their recovery.
