New Revenue Update March April May June New Revenue Update March 2023 April May June A NOTE FROM US A call to arms amid the chaos Tesla and Twitter’s ups and downs, big tech lay-offs, the explosion of ChatGPT, the implosion of Silicon Valley Bank. Quiet start to the year for everyone, wasn’t it? Explore more ↓ For those in the world of new revenue at Liberty Global, it hasn’t been too quiet either. We have attacked the year with a new energy. This energy is driven by a few core beliefs that feel pertinent right now: an unwavering bias towards action, an opportunistic positivity (often found or forgotten in a crisis) and a recognition that to succeed… reinvention is requisite. So, how has this manifested? Firstly, the thing you’re reading. Our perspective is that we’re all in this together, we’ve all heard the call to arms for new revenue, so why not talk about it more to connect the dots? Our aim is that this contributes to a joined-up conversation to attacking new revenue in coming months. Secondly, our teams are making good progress on pre-activation activities in smart security across multiple markets and helping Egg define, validate and launch a subscription offering for solar and storage. Alongside this, we are deepening our perspectives on key verticals and keeping a finger on the pulse of competitor investment and partnership activity to spot fast-follow opps. Finally, we have evolved our model to expand our reach for new revenue. After 3 years, we know activation opportunities don’t fall into your lap. You need to proactively build and shape them. So that’s why we have set up the LG Sandbox Mixer. A series of proactive global meet-ups with high-growth potential partners. The end goal? Simple answer. Evaluate 200-300 companies, meet 20-30, find 2-3 that enable us to activate new revenue initiatives at pace in target verticals. It unlocks a new avenue to activation, opens up outside-in perspective, deepens our understanding and network in new verticals. It mixes it up. Our first Mixer took place over two days last week in Berlin (featuring a bonus trip to BCN to meet old pals Teladoc) targeting Embedded Finance, Device-aaS and Insurance. You can find a summary and how to get involved below, and I'm looking forward to meeting the new revenue team at TLN and VFZ to share more this week. #MixItUp Disclaimer: no content written by ChatGPT.
