Tremendous progress has been made, yet breast cancer is still the most commonly
diagnosed cancer among Canadian women, with 1 in 8 expected to be diagnosed in
their lifetime.

 3. Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and championing world-leading outcomes
in breast cancer prevention, early detection, treatment and support is
achievable when we work collectively with people united by the same goals.

Every year, an estimated 27,900 Canadians are diagnosed with breast cancer and
thousands more are living with the disease.

For those people and their families, we must act now.

Your donation today will save and improve lives by funding innovative research
at all stages of the breast cancer journey to better detect and treat breast
cancer.

YOUR SUPPORT IS SAVING AND CHANGING LIVES

“Breast cancer research has come a very long way and that progress is because of
Canadian Cancer Society donors. I can tell you you’re really making a
difference. If I were in this situation ten years ago, my oncologist wouldn’t
have been able to help me the way he did today.”

– Nalini Sharma, Cancer Thriver
