WHAT IS ASHWAGANDHA? 


ITS BOTANICAL ORIGIN AND HISTORY 

Ashwagandha, also known as Indian ginseng or winter cherry, is a small, woody
plant native to India and North Africa. It belongs to the Solanaceae family and
has been used in traditional Indian Ayurvedic medicine for more than 3,000
years.

In Ayurveda, Ashwagandha is considered a ‘Rasayana’ or rejuvenator. This means

(isopelletierine, anaferine, and others), steroidal lactones (withanolides,
