Polar Bears Form Parliament


WELCOME TO POLAR BEAR PARLIAMENT

The Parliament is an NFT project which animates the world's remaining polar
bears as unique, ownable NFT characters in the metaverse. The Parliament will be
a green launch on the eco-friendly Solana blockchain of 26,000 NFTs, equal to
the number of polar bears we have left on earth. The proceeds of PBP will
contribute to the conservation of the worlds remaining polar bears. Content
produced with the 26,000 PBPs will disseminate into media streams, enhancing
public awareness through real communities. Paving the way for NFTs with purpose,
"Polar Bear Parliament" combines digital opportunities, storytelling and
activism. Polar bears, welcome to the metaverse.





GUY & THE BEARS: A LOVE STORY

Our journalist buddy, and honorary PBP, "Guy Fawkes", was making his very own
sad documentary about our kind in Canada. Cold and heartbroken, Guy left Canada
and stumbled upon on the NFT jungle of Los Angeles. A chance meeting with
technologists led to the birth of PBP.


THE DOCUMENTARY


In his docuseries, “Time to Say Goodbye”, journalist Guy Fawkes travels from
California to the Arctic to examine a seminal question for climate change: How
do we treat nature? On his journey, Guy visits Churchill, Canada where tourists
photograph the last remaining polar bears. And if a bear comes too close to the
humans who visit, it is captured and put in jail. As a warning. On his journey,
Guy understands that the only way we can save the polar bears and countless
other endangered creatures, is to join together now. As an alliance of people
who want to do something. As an alliance of people who understand that it is
time to change something. But how do you forge such an alliance for a global
problem? By chance, Guy joins forces with technologists at DNABLOCK for a
digital solution to nature’s primary problem. Together they launched the "Polar
Bear Parliament", a 3D animated NFT project. And: one of the biggest experiments
of his journalistic life.

skinny, and vulnerable. But you’ve never really met me. So hi! My story might be
sad, but I am actually a funny light-hearted pescatarian, living it up in the
tundra. Yes, my caps are melting. It sucks. But you know what sucks more? Human
hunters. On my back. All the time. So join our Parliament.
Our parliament consists of 26,000 unique, collectible bears in three categories

BUENA VISTA BEAR

Buena Vista Bear is a talented musician and passionate advocate for Cuban music,
known for his lively performances and infectious rhythms. With his acoustic
guitar and signature fedora hat, he's a beloved figure in the Arctic music
scene. Despite his fame, Buena Vista Bear remains humble and dedicated to
preserving the rich cultural heritage of his homeland.


THE NERD

I am a bookish warrior. I fight the good fight in cardigans, spectacles, and
constant references to the Constitution. I spend my days trying to fill
loopholes in legislation that leave our kind vulnerable to being hunted in our
own homes. I also enjoy salmon and fine scotch, on the rocks of course.


PARTY PANTS BEAR

Party Pants Bear is a fun-loving and energetic resident of the Arctic, always
ready to dance the night away in his colorful and festive pants. He's known for
his love of celebrations and throwing the best parties in the Arctic. Despite
his party animal persona, Party Pants also has a serious side and works hard to
protect his Arctic home and the animals that call it home.


MOSAIC BEAR

Mosaic Bear is a creative and visionary artist, known for his intricate and
colorful mosaics made from pieces of ice and snow. With his keen eye for detail
and love of experimentation, he's constantly pushing the boundaries of what's
possible in the world of Arctic art. Despite the challenges he faces in his
craft, Mosaic Bear remains committed to sharing his unique vision with the world
and inspiring others to embrace their own creativity.

PARLIAMENT MINUTES


BREAKING :

The Parliament take it upon themselves to hit the streets and inform the human
public. They do social experiments, hold protests, and even join staged debates
against climate change deniers. The Parliament is split into many subgroups that
travel around Canada, USA, Europe and other countries.


MP PROFILE :

PBP lead by the charismatic Sebastian Furlow, from his headquarters in the
Canadian arctic. He oversees the global fight for his species. Furlow is a
public figure often on the news being interviewed or making speeches at large
conferences or the UN.


IN DEPTH :

In Canada it is legal to hunt polar bears, an endangered species. Their coats
sell for thousands of dollars, and hunting licenses/guided expeditions can be
just as expensive. This adds a further strain on Polar Bears which are already
struggling to survive due to global warming.


DEVELOPING :

Michel Abdollahi, a journalist, and a technology team are working together to
bring more awareness to the threat Polar Bears are facing. They have launched
26,000 NFTs, and are going to use the proceeds to buy up 26,000 Polar Bear
hunting licenses. The number of Polar Bears left on the planet. This group of
NFTs, aka “The Polar Bear Parliament”, are strong advocates for the protection
of their species. The bears range from extremely intellectual and outspoken, to
completely goofy, to quiet and melancholy. No matter their differences, they all
stand for the same cause: Stop hunting Polar Bears.


PARLIAMENT MINUTES


DEVELOPING :

Awareness to the climate change and why the human beings are obviously unable or
unwilling to stop it. Even if we Polar Bears are dying out.


PRESENTING :

Dory Nemo, Director Fotografie When Guy asked me if I would shoot a documentary
about polar bears with him, I immediately said yes. I only had one question: "If
I look at my camera monitor, will you, Guy, let me know if a polar bear appears
behind me?" (I haven't got an answer until today... )


RICCHIE CUNNINGHAM EDITING

For 15 years she has worked as a writer and journalist for various production
companies and German public television. She has received several national awards
for her work. But actually she only likes polar bears in her life.Or do you want
it a little easier: Guy - Chief polar bear of the documentary, Richie try to
