LONE STAR COLLEGE-UNIVERSITY PARK WELCOMES NEW ACADEMIC DEANS



Following an intensive search, Lone Star College-University Park (LSC-University
Park) is delighted to announce the selection of two exceptional individuals to
key leadership roles within the institution. Christa Spears, Ph.D., will serve
as the new Dean of the Mathematics, Engineering and Sciences division, while
Andrew Johnson III, MBA, will assume the position of Dean of Workforce
Education.




JOIN LSC-CYFAIR TO CELEBRATE INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION WEEK THIS NOVEMBER



Come discover the world through poetry, a Reader’s Theatre performance and
project presentations open to the community during International Education Week
at LSC-CyFair this November.




LONE STAR COLLEGE DESIGNATED TOP COLLEGE FOR HISPANICS



Lone Star College has been named a Top 100 College and Universities for
Hispanics by Hispanic Outlook Magazine.




LONE STAR COLLEGE-MONTGOMERY AWARDS $1500 SCHOLARSHIP TO CONROE I.S.D. STUDENTS
DURING FOOTBALL GAME



Lone Star College-Montgomery proudly presented four scholarships to Conroe
I.S.D. students, consisting of two junior and two senior students from the high
schools on Friday, October 20, 2023. The scholarship awards were presented
during their home conference game in recognition of outstanding academic
achievements and Lone Star College-Montgomery’s commitment to the local school
district.




LONE STAR COLLEGE PARTNERS WITH JACKSONVILLE STATE UNIVERSITY TO OFFER
CUSTOMIZED ACADEMIC PLANS



Lone Star College and Jacksonville State University in Alabama recently signed
an articulation agreement to develop customized academic plans for LSC students
transferring to Jax State.




LONE STAR COLLEGE LOWERS TAX RATE



The Lone Star College Board of Trustees voted to approve lowering the LSC fiscal
year 2024 tax rate during its October meeting. The motion passed with a 7-0
vote.
